A woman from Exmouth has been left gobsmacked after a seagull pinched a full tube of toothpaste from her bathroom.
Anna Ravenscroft-Ward, 45, says she was downstairs when the theft took place yesterday (February 9), but was quickly alerted to the incident by her neighbour who was an eyewitness.
Anna says it's not the first time this taunting seagull has visited her house.
She said: ''It uses its beak to tap on our windows everyday when we are eating.
''I had a cheap tube of Lidl toothpaste, but instead it stuck its head in and pinched the full tube of Sensodyne.''
Anna - who finds the incident amusing - says she is quite sure it is the same seagull who visits the house daily.
''It taps on our conservatory first and then works his way around the house tapping on all of the windows.
''The other day he started tapping on the kitchen window and then tried another window.
''Shortly after I went upstairs and I could hear tapping - he was trying to get in through the bathroom.''
Following yesterday's 'toothpaste gate', Anna said it was her neighbour who spotted the gull sticking its head through the window before flying off with the Sensodyne tube.
She said: ''My neighbour messaged me and told me. I ran upstairs and the toothpaste was gone.
Although she lost a whole tube of Sensodyne, Anna finds the incident amusing (Image: Anna Ravenscroft-Ward) ''I did feel a bit bad for the seagull, I guess they aren't able to feed on as many scraps due to lockdown. They are so cheeky.
''It was a full tube!''
Jokingly Anna said: ''We've called him Steven Seagal - although that's a bit of an old joke.''
After the incident, Anna took to social media to share what had happened.

She said: ''It seemed to get a great reaction and cheer people up especially in these strange times.
''I just hope it has put a smile on everyone's face.
''People should be on the lookout as it [the toothpaste] will probably turn up in someone's garden somewhere!''
I agree with that.
Other than her basic good looks she seems to be a typical San Fransisco-type air-head liberal.
I recommend a 12 gauge with a modified choke and #6 lead or tungsten shot. Serious shooters may prefer a belt fed weapon.
A flamethrower may be used against ground targets, such as at a Burger King parking lot.
“Ravenscroft-Ward”...45 and she still has her ‘hyphen intact’.
Well, the tramp stamps say she is down for it. The yoga says she would be good at it.
9 on the crazy matrix. NO GO ZONE
And then, she makes sure to point out she uses Sensodyne toothpaste, ...”
To me it meant that she was old enough to have suffered peridontal disease with bone loss and receding gums.
Or weak gums from failing to brush her teeth on a regular basis.

I truly miss editors.
She’s 45. I’m 45 and have nothing less than perfect healthy teeth and gums. She was or is probably a heavy drug abuser to have deteriorated teeth and gums at her age. Or she just has poor dental/general hygiene as I previously mentioned. Likely all of the above.
Nice nose ring and tats...
But what’s her breathe smell like?
the seagull tapping on her windows should be clue...

Killing a seagull is a federal crime.
One way to determine the truth of the matter.

Would you hit it? Tramp stamps and all?
While surf fishing with a friend, one seagull walked up and tried to take a small plastic flounder out of his tackle box, lol!
An open bottle of gorilla glue would likely end the problem.
Seagull!
New mascot for the DemSoc party!
