At least 36 people have developed a rare, life-threatening blood disorder, called thrombocytopenia, after receiving either of the two COVID-19 vaccines authorized in the US.
One of them, Miami obstetrician Dr Gregory Michael, died after thrombocytopenia caused his platelets to drop to virtually zero. He was just 56 and died of a brain hemorrhage just 16 days after receiving Pfizer's shot.
And doctors ordered Luz Legaspi, 72, not to leave her bed for over a week, for fear a bump, bruise, fall or other minor injury could lead to a similar hemorrhage and prove fatal for her.
Thrombocytopenia has been seen after other vaccines as well, and experts suspect that the shot does act as a trigger in some way - they just don't know why yet.
But so far, the platelet-suppressing condition appears exceedingly rare - affecting just 36 people out of 43 million doses administered in the US - and scientists theorize that only a small fraction of the population may have some predisposition that could lead vaccines to trigger the blood disorder.
Of 15 people included in a forthcoming study, only one had a recent history of low platelet counts, and there were no clear common threads that predict who might be the very few to develop thrombocytopenia after vaccination.
But with the exception of Dr Michael, all others so far have recovered after treatment.
The vast majority of people who have received COVID-19 vaccines have done so without incident.
But between the December 14 start of the US coronavirus vaccine rollout and January 31, 36 reports were made to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's (CDC) monitoring system of immune thrombocytopenia (ITP) after vaccinations, according to the New York Times.

The fact that this is being pushed by the MSM and every liberal on the planet tells me that this is probably something I should avoid.
You never get the truth from those people. But they demand that everyone wear the mask, get the vaccine, social distance. Stay away from HCQ. Don’t take Ivermectin. Abort your child.
I don’t wear a mask around friends and family. I don’t social distance. I take the Zelenko protocol.
We are being played. They don’t want us safe, they want to control us.
I predicted back several months ago that a huge percentage of front line healthcare workers were going to refuse this vaccine. Many that I have worked with have been refusing the annual flu shot for numerous years. Since this vaccine has not been sufficiently vetted, it was a given, that even a larger percentage were going to refuse to take it.
And ...... the chickens have come home to roost. While I applaud Trump in his attempt to get a vaccine out quickly, it is a futile attempt to try to speed up a process that takes time and research.
And now we learn that Trump was correct in touting Hydroxychloroquine as a viable medication for COVID. I am sure that he did not come up with this idea on his own. Perhaps Ben Carson clued President Trump as to the benefits of Hydroychloroquine.
Hydroxychloroquine has been used for decades for Malaria in many countries around the world with minimal side-effects and with great results. But big pharma wasn’t having it. They needed large amounts of money from the Democrats for research to develop a cure or a vaccine or both.
Any updates on how Hank Aaron died? That seems to be missing in every story still......
Vaccines are a cost/benefit analysis, for individuals and society.
The problem is informed consent.
Which is bloody near impossible when we’ve got so many people and institutions lying to us.
Let's see. Fearing the vaccine is completely irrational, but fearing a virus which has a high survival rate in otherwise healthy people is completely rational?
Like you, I never got the flu shot. Then about 10 years ago I got one. The next year I suffered a bout of Bell’s palsy. I feel both were connected, the shot and palsy. Recently, I’ve seen reports that verify the connection. Also, Bell’s palsy has been shown in small cases to be a reaction to the covid vaccines.
God gave us natural immunity to the more than 300 trillion viruses that are currently occupying space in our imperfect bodies. It would appear that 99% of people who contract this virus survive and those are only the ones who got tested. I’ll take my chances with the Zelenko protocol and my own natural immunity.
If the left is demanding that we all take the vaccine, that’s good enough reason for me to avoid it.
It baffles me that so many people are so eager to be guinea pigs. In normal times, if a patient asked for experimental medication the doctor would to their damnedest to convince them otherwise and probably wouldn’t prescribe it unless there was no alternative and death was imminent.

You are fortunate you have a doctor willing to prescribe Hydroxychloroquine for people like you who aren’t sick. Many doctors won’t do it for fear of being investigated by their state.
Your city and state must be very libertarian in this regard.
I don’t take HCQ, I take Quercetin and all the other OTC supplements. I wash them down with Tonic Water (Quinine Hydrochloride).
If I get symptoms I will contact Frontline Doctors for HCQ and Ivermectin.
You should be an out-front public advocate for the vaxers!

THAT’s the problem. I’m not an anti-vaxer by any means. I’ve mostly shied away from the annual flu shots...but most other things in my life, I’ve jumped on. I just got a pneumonia vaccine from my doc a month ago. He also sent over a prescription to CVS for the shingles shot. I’ll get that soon (I had a playing-card-sized patch of shingles on my lower back in my mid-20’s. I still remember it...not a fun thing.) But the governmental/institutional liars have driving me away from having confidence in what they’re telling us. I’m not sure they’ll ever be able to rebuild the bridges they’ve burned with us.
If you goy the flu last year, you were one of the very, very few that did get the plain flu. I actually saw a report that said flu has been wiped out by China Virus.
Ask Hank Aaron if he wishes he hadn’t gotten the shot.
39 year old mother of 2 in my neighborhood died about a week after getting the shot. Not saying it’s connected, but strange coincidence.
