The United States Space Force put out a video documenting its first "Guardians" going through Basic Training. Obstacle courses, drill instructors, classroom time, and other training are shown in the video. It's one of the saddest training videos Angry Drill SGT has ever seen, and he breaks it down the only way he can.

The Space Force TV show was really lame as far as comedy but this video with a budget of near zero is absolutely HILARIOUS. It’s surprising that the real Space Force released the boot camp training video referenced to the public. Did they not realize how ridiculous it made them appear?
I thought Space Force would be sort of like the “space” Marines in Aliens or actually a combo of Infantry training and astronaut training.
Here’s the actual full video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QDiCgu8_jXA
The comedian is cherry-picking clips. The full video shows more.
That was done to convince those video-game couch potatoes that they could be nifty-neat-o and join up too and they don’t need to be in shape or get yelled at.

Yeah, right! Think more along the lines of couch potato gaming console players.....
Sweet Lord Almighty in Heaven on High. I’m 57, my legs are shot to hell from diabetes and infection, I’m disabled, and all I’d need to pass this clown show would be 90 days of rehab therapy to get over those elementary school obstacles. (I’m great at crawling in my current configuration.). Other than that, I can field strip and qualify with my AR as well as I did in the army. If they started a Silver Hair Reserve Squadron, I’d actually re-enlist. Back in the day, drill sargeants would apply boot-to-ass 24/7. I’d have this current crop washing my car for me. I’d be handed a chestful of fruit salad just based on my experience. A service ribbon with a silver MacIntosh attachment. LOL
Who wrote this, Jan Pstaki?
Back in the late ‘50s scouting was tougher than this.
Pushups and situps must be easier in space.....
that brings back some memory lane although we had wire mesh above us on the crawl and had to start over if our butts touched. My favorite part was the water obstacle and yes, after 3 hours of hot and sweaty endurance, I let go of the rope. It was glorious. We didn’t do entry control back then tho - they wouldn’t let us play with guns off the range.
Thanks... I was hoping someone who went through boot camp would comment. I wouldn’t know whether this Space Force boot camp is comparable or not. To me, it looked a bit like the CAP encampment one of my kids went through.
Ping.
