Writing in the February 1 issue of the American Conservative, Los Angeles charter school teacher Kurt Hofer, states he believes that “economic populists” can turn California around politically by promoting bread-and-butter issues (“How Populist Conservatives Can Win In (Yes!) California”) as seemingly evidenced by the November 2020 election.
What makes Hofer believe an economically populist message will do the trick in turning around California is that the November 2020 California election irrationally went 64% to 34% for Biden even after Gov. Gavin Newsom wrecked the small business economy by overkill epidemic lockdowns. However, these same voters rejected seven of twelve ballot initiatives that affected people’s pocketbooks and crime and overturning California’s anti-gig economy law. It is easier for the political Left to demonize a conservative politician than it is to change the same voters choices at the ballot box that affect their pocketbook. This is the moral of the story of the California election in November 2020, not some false hope that economic rationality will transform California. California voters have a split personality: economically rational on one side but all-to-gleeful to pillory or symbolically crucify a political outsider who threatens their political sinecures and pensions on the other. Unlike voter initiatives, any notion of changing the political makeup of the state legislature, courts or executive branch solely on bread-and-butter issues is not realistic when it comes to voting for outsider political candidates.

Californian voters are just not hurting enough from their policies.
WHY POPULISTS CAN’T WIN IN CALIFORNIA

Unfortunately, the same may be true of the US as a whole. If the Left can keep importing voters whose bread is buttered by the Metropolitan, globalist Left, then I’m not sure I see a political way out of this.
Economic Populist=TRUMP
And HE WON in almost every state.
The GOPee needs to present evidence to Congress, including statistiical evidence and then kick the current regime out OR the GOP is DONE.
Unlike voter initiatives, any notion of changing the political makeup of the state legislature, courts or executive branch solely on bread-and-butter issues is not realistic when it comes to voting for outsider political candidates.>>>>>>>>
Then what option does that leave the People?

California has perfected voter manipulation and electoral fraud to an art form.
Over the last decades they have steadily added measures which allow manipulation or outright fraud - from motor/voter, to immediate registration, to registration of anyone dealing with a DMV or welfare office, to purposeful maintaining dirty, bloated voter rolls, to government paid ballot harvesting - and in 2020, the mother of all, total mail in ballots.
they don’t need to win 99% to 1%, they just need to consistently win 60% to 40% to literally take over everything, and complete the control of politicians, unions, leftist groups and oligarchs
And its all funded by massive debt, massive spending, and massive bubbles.
Nice weather.
Beautiful scenery.
Filled with hobos, drug addicts, criminals and actors.
Wasn’t Arnold a populist?
But you repeat yourself lol.
Freebies and fraud...too many on the dole.
Sorry, kids. It ain't who votes, it's who counts them. We'll never know what Trump actually received there.
But as long as we are here at the tax and spenders' picnic, I don't see fiscal conservatives being elected dogcatcher in the states dominated by the metro pits. When the fiscal pain finally hits the fan it will be interesting for those alive to see if America can handle it again, given the cancerous public education and immigration system.
I've lived in California all my life.
DemonicRats are like Alcoholics: Recovery does not begin until you hit rock bottom and you have to admit to the problem.
Until that point the addict demands more and more.
because they don’t count the votes
Although more like locusts. They’ll move in to a decent area, destroy it completely (politically/socially/morally, et al) and then move on to another area, rinse and repeat. No concern or recognition that their own politics are solely responsible for the ruination in the first place. That many are rich that they can insulate themselves from the problems they inflict is what is particularly galling.
They can’t win...until...suddenly they will. You watch. These old, wealthy white leftists are going to die out. There is an undercurrent you can feel starting to build there. I have talked with several young, intelligent people in the SoCal region - they will tell you that they are afraid to tell people what they really think, for fear of employment problems, but that they find more and more people all the time that think like they do. The young like a slave class to these rich virtue signalers.
