America, we have another crisis. We’re running out of chicken wings.
Days before the Super Bowl, a veritable annual chicken wing holiday, food service providers are scrambling to get their hands on these delectable morsels — and paying top dollar for them, too.
The U.S. chicken wing market is dominated by the sports calendar. Consumption and sales peak right before the Super Bowl in February and again before the start of the NCAA men’s basketball tournament in March. Prices generally ebb and flow with that schedule, spiking before the competitions and edging lower throughout the rest of the year.
But wing prices have been flying high for months during the coronavirus pandemic. Experts say there are a number of drivers behind the increase, but chief among them is that we’re all eating a ton of chicken, including wings. The shortage isn’t so much that producers aren’t making enough wings, it’s that consumers want more and more (and more) of them to scarf down.

I’m so ignorant of the Super Bowl that I thought it was last Sunday.
I’m a guy and I don’t have any appreciation for football. I’ve probably watched 5-10 full games in my entire life. I’d occasionally watch the Super Bowl for the commercials but I don’t like some snot nosed marketing dork lecturing to me through her oh so woke sensibilities.
The New “Woke” Superbowl will start with the playing of the BLM Anthem, Then the National Anthem Hate minute, with all players requested to kneel and give the Black Power upraised fist, Then a Flag burning and the Chant. After the players pretend to hurt themselves and pretend to play—then we the people pretend to care. Who will be in the Half Time show? Hollywood actors who get cheers for chanting “Fu*k Trump!” and the Raising of the Red Chinese Flag while singing “The East is Red” The new Hollywood anthem.
The Super Bowl is coming. And we’re running out of chicken wings.

I may (or may not) have chicken wings on Super Bore Sunday, but I will not be watching football.

I’m going to a Super Bowl party (small) with my jalepeno poppers and 7 layer dip for one reason only: a return to normalcy.
Already the schools/government in my area (probably the CDC too) are “warning” about “Super Bowl” parties. Anything fun must be shut down.
I am, they have a Super Bowl every year, making paella and hanging out with friends. Go Chiefs.
It will be interesting if they do an interview with Slo Joe and if he even remembers what the Super Bowl is about.

This will be the first time in 37 years there will be no Budweiser commercial on TV during the Super Bowl. They made a decision not to air ads during this Super Bowl.
