Great movie to watch DVD or streaming online.

Especially now with the Socialist Harris/Biden Regime in power . Time and time we have seen escapees from such Communist controlled countries say how they would never again want to live in those countries. And yet here in America, we will see for ourselves sadly.

BALLOON

Film of daring balloon escape from East revives German identity debate
This article is more than 2 years old
Families welcome Ballon, a thriller about their 1979 flight from the GDR, released on reunification’s anniversary

One of the most spectacular escapes from communist East Germany, in which two families sailed over the heavily fortified border in a homemade balloon, has been recreated as a thriller for the cinema.

Ballon, by German director Michael Bully Herbig, tells the true story of the Strelzyks and the Wetzels, who built their balloon in a cellar in Thuringia. a state in the German Democratic Republic, before flying across the border into Bavaria one chilly night in September 1979.

“A cloth sack, put some hot air in it, and up we go,” said Günter Wetzel, now 63, describing his original idea in an interview to mark the film’s release. He had been inspired by a magazine article about the international annual ballooners’ convention in Albuquerque, New Mexico. “While I’m happy now that we took that decision, if I had the knowledge I have now I wouldn’t do it, because it was so dangerous, but I didn’t recognise that then,” he said.

As we all expected.
Without a contrived gimmick, SNL is past ready for the scrap heap. Sort of like Candid Camera. Cute during it’s time, but we can never get that same suspension of disbelief back now.

Who would have expected any different? They "made fun" of Obama by joking that he worked too hard And that he had a hard time dealing with the low intelligence of those around him.

I would have gone with Michelle's penis jokes, personally.

Mocking the President is only fine when its a Republican in the White House, when a commie is in the White House the commies in the Entertainment Industry say nothing, because they all voted for him

There is no humor in the supreme greatness of the beloved heroic President Biden and the historic and popular VP Kamala Harris./S

I believe it was Eddie Murphy who said “You don’t do any comedy skits about Dr. Martin Luther King.”

They said they didn't make fun of Obama because he was just not that funny, boring and nerdy in cool sort of way. Nothing to mock.

Biden is going to prove that was all a lie, if you can't find something to mock Biden about then you aint trying. And they aint.

Happened to comedy entertainer Bob Newhart when some of his hilarious impersonations were based on John Kennedy. No fun after Thanksgiving, 1963.

The real comedy here is for Joe Biden ever to think he could become a President of the United States,

The joke is on us, people. Sad indeed. No more fun on him.

They have had skits of dems before. They will develop typical softball skits for Biden and Harris.

Would not need to be too creative to write or tape a skit.

Simply replay a you tube video of his latest gaffe. Also, can run a few Kamala tapes from last year, both would be sure to generate laughs, and would not be made up!

Anybody else notice we have to get this commentary from a newspaper based in the UK?

No American media would touch this.

I ‘cancelled’ SNL in the 80’s post-Eddie Murphy and Julia Louis-Dreyfus. It’s been unwatchable since then, and certainly NOTHING like the original cast, which was the best, hands down.

And, JL-D wasn’t even FUNNY until she showed up later as ‘Elaine.’

John Krasinski?

Jim, you have lost all my respect. If Pam feels the same way...never watching The Office again.
