WASHINGTON - Four Texas Democrats, led by Congressman Vicente Gonzalez (TX-15), have sent a letter to the Biden administration asking them to rescind the recent Executive Order banning responsible energy leasing on federal lands and waters.

Reps. Henry Cuellar (TX-28), Lizzie Fletcher (TX-07) and Marc Veasey (TX-33) joined Gonzalez voicing their concerns about the far-reaching implications of this order Order in the short-term given the impact of COVID-19 on local economies including the loss of jobs, increased budget shortfalls, and weakening of the U.S. national security apparatus as it pertains to American energy independence.

“From day one, President Biden and his administration have taken bold action to address the problems we face as a nation. Climate change is a pending and imminent threat, but any action on the federal level must come after careful and thoughtful consideration,” said Congressman Gonzalez. “Texas, particularly the 15th District of Texas, has been ravaged by the coronavirus and this recent Executive Order will hurt an already suffering community. Therefore, I urge the Biden administration to rescind this federal order and reevaluate the impact of this measure with input from relevant stakeholders and experts. I, and my colleagues, stand ready to work with President Biden, the incoming Secretary of Interior and other stakeholders to develop a thoughtful policy that addresses climate change, protects American jobs and moves us forward.”

In the letter the lawmakers write:

First, it was “Affordable” bills that were absent-mindedly aggregated—now add the word “Responsible”.

Modest challenge for the Clueless Wing of the GOP - remove head from ass and go claim these 4 seats in 2022.

Superficially, it sounds like they’re actually interested in protecting the livelihoods of their constituents. Is it just posturing, or is rebellion actually brewing in their camp?

Marxist Democrat Party policies hurting their own congresspeople. LUV IT!

The more unemployed workers in Texas and other energy producing states, the more potential Republican voters for 2022 if they are treated properly.

That’d put them at risk of becoming the majority, and that’s just too much work and responsibility. The GOP is quite comfortable in its role as houseboys for Pelosi.

I’m waiting for them to be assigned the word “Liable.”

Kabuki theatre.
Mere meaningless words cause they think they will get clobbered in the next elections in Texas.
Remember this?

Good grief. It’s just an exec order signed by an illegitimate person sitting in Trump’s oval office.

Ignore it. Keep on drilling. Come on, Texas, you’re braver than this.

I don’t think it’s going to matter. The Democratic party has managed to hold itself together against Trump. But now that they’ve won and they’re in power, the constituents that made up the party are fighting to get THEIR agenda passed. The blacks expect reparations. The LGBTQ “community, whose interests are already widely divergent from each other, each wants laws and policies that many of the others do not want. White women largely do not want to share a bathroom with men. Asians...probably not many of them, do not want institutional bias against themselves, such as college admission limits, because they are smart and successful. Democrats from energy producing states do not want to be seen as greenies. Democrats from poor districts do not want additional taxes to bail out California and New York. California and New York want tax credits so their citizens don’t have to pay the full freight of their terrible state policies. As Captain Kirk said, “Conquest is easy. Control is not.”

They are set up for failure.

“Ignore it.”

I agree.

Val Jarr and Susan Rice are taking/making up list of everything the Dems want and will have Biden sign an order, knowing full well no one is going to do a dang thing to stop it. Now that Chief Justice Roberts knows his place they know the Constitution will not be followed any longer.

Even the democrats don’t like what Joebama is doing. This is part of the awakening. In another 30 days people will be thrilled for Trump and the military to take over. Which has already happened but they just have not announced it yet.

“to develop a thoughtful policy that addresses climate change”

That’s funny!!!

Nothing about the entire premise of climate change has anything remotely related to a thoughtful policy, much less resembling ‘anything’ thoughtful at all! It used to be the greatest scam perpetrated upon the world until the 2020 election happened.

These people are too deceived (or are too ignorant) to learn that you can support these types of politicians all your life, and you step out of line once and you are now the one being attacked.

Our creator is the only one we can really trust for truth!
