Bananas are a well-known source of potassium... Did you know Potassium is naturally radioactive? Nuclear waste is bagged in yellow which is why bananas are wrapped in yellow.

Bananas are high in potassium. They also help with acid reflux. I take two acid reflux pills a day, but because I no longer have my gall bladder, bile is emptied into my small intestine. Despite taking meds, and watching what I eat, I have still had a couple of episodes of waking up with acid reflux in the middle of the night this past year. One was so bad, the crap was coming out of my nose, and my throat was on fire. I was also coughing up small bits of pus for about a week, so I must have aspirated the reflux as well. I have Barrett's esophagus, so that was a concern for me. I called my doctor, and he told me to call him if I developed a fever. I didn't, but it was an experience I'd never had before in my life.
When that bad episode happened, I tried milk, baking soda in water, crackers...nothing helped with the burning until I ate a banana, and the burning immediately went away. The next day I looked online to see if bananas are recommended for acid reflux, and they are. If I've eaten anything fried for supper, I have a banana before I go to bed, and I haven't had any more reflux episodes.

These listed have way too much sugar for me. They mention meat but don’t list any. Some meats have a good supply of potassium.
ex: “Pork, fresh, loin, top loin (chops), boneless,
separable lean and fat, pan-fried, 3oz. 479 mg”

"To get electrolytes I drink Brawndo because it has what plants crave."
About 5 or 6 years ago, I ended up in the hospital with low sodium, low potassium, and low magnesium. They never figured out how it happened. I had been taking a prescribed potassium supplement for over 20 years at the time, along with Hydrochlorothiazide for my blood pressure. I was in the hospital for 3 days, and one of the nurses who had worked my floor for one of those days, stopped by to see how I was doing. I told him that they took me off the potassium. He said that it was probably a good thing, because too much potassium is just as bad as not enough. My family doctor/endocrinologist sends me for blood work every six months, and all my levels have consistently been within normal range.

Yeah, but bananas are worthless. Once you peel them and throw the bone away, there’s nothing left.

I love both! And have them every once in awhile. I’m one of those unfortunates that has to keep my carb intake really low.
