Think with me here. Trucks use fossil fuels. And they spew pollution into the environment. And that is preferable to transporting oil through a closed system, viz. a pipeline?
Liberal lunacy.
Buffet owns the trains. He will make billions. The trucks are relative small feed in the whole system.
Don’t try to make sense of the way lefties think, you’ll only get a headache.
The reasoning is that less oil will be pumped if it becomes economically expensive to transport it, which is almost certainly true. In a larger sense, it is a form of revenge against people seen to be harming the world. In the end it is merely a display of raw power.
Not trucks... railroads. One in particular BNSF.
Who is the majority stockholder in BNSF? Berkshire Hathaway. Who is the majority shareholder of Berkshire? Warren Buffet . Quick party does Buffet donate to? DemocRATS.

All the Keystone decision is is a way for Biden to pay back large contributors. Train operators and trucking firms will make a killing hauling the oil that would have flowed through the pipeline. The Green New Deal people apparently aren’t smart enough to analyze cause and effect. Hey! Why not? They were fooled on windmills too. A windmill uses more carbon based energy in its manufacture, transport, installation and operation than it will offset in its lifetime.
The pipeline isn't in service yet, so currently oil is carried via crude oil tanker cars on trains. The people who own those tank cars stood to loose a lot of money once the pipeline came online.
Creepy Joe loves trains, and loves money. So a few bucks from the right railroad owners and viola!
Plan A with the sands-oil was to get it to the gulf region, with the bulk of customers being European. But the sands-oil needed to see normal oil prices up to around $90 to be of any use.
If plan A is off the books, and prices don’t escalate...this is all a dead topic.
Warren Buffet is no more than a common grifter using government to shut down his competition and solidify his monopoly. Might as well identify the fuel surcharge as the Warren Buffet Fee.

That all came out under Obama and his numerous committees (5 I believe) that said the pipeline was more environmentally favorable then trucks and trains carrying it but being the Marxist ass he was he axed the pipeline as well.
