Brady is headed back to the Super Bowl, this time without Coach Bill Belichick and the New England Patriots. He prevailed over Aaron Rodgers in a duel of legendary quarterbacks, and his Tampa Bay Buccaneers beat Rodgers's Green Bay Packers, 31-26, in Sunday's NFC championship game at Lambeau Field in Green Bay.

Montana. He played against top notch defenses and he beat the teams with his own arm. The opponents screwup or the kicker didn't win his games for him.

Tom Brady's team never dominated one of those games, like some of Joe Montana's teams did. (I could go game by game if you want)

Joe Montana never threw a SINGLE interception in a Super Bowl. While, Brady threw five interceptions.

Joe Montana never lost a single Super Bowl. Brady is lucky he only lost three.

Confused why there are even debates on both of these.

Given the difference in the game rules and the styles of offense between different football eras, the GOAT title is meaningless. There have been many "greatest QBs of their era" types - its not at all clear that any of them would have done as well in an earlier or later era.

Agreed. As much as I loves me my Green Bay Packers, it was sort of a ‘gimme’ season all the way around.

Maybe in Aaron’s next contract negotiation he can demand, ‘No Fans in the Stands?’

Interesting to note that the three Tampa teams have all made it to the Championships (Lightning, Rays and now the Bucs)

If only Tampa had a basketball team. (although, you could make the case that the Miami Heat are the favorite team of folks in Tampa and they did make the NBA Finals).
