I received a card in the mail today called an Economic Impact Payment card.
It says "Here is your Economic Impact Payment Card enable by Money Network (c). It contains the money you are receiving from the U.S. Department of Treasury under the COVID-related Tax Relief Act of 2020.

It is legit; many have thrown it away in error.
Just take it to your bank and they can transfer the balance to your regular account.
They list plenty of “no fee” ATMs some of which are reportedly charging fees. Avoid the hassle and take it to your bank.
It has a Treasury Dept. logo on it but it came from Omaha, NE. What the hell?
Warren Buffett owns America.
That’s how mine cane the first time. Texas Gun Experience was happy to swipe a transaction through. You can transfer the funds to your bank if you choose to do so.
What?????
SMDH.
Do you have direct deposit? If not, hence the card. The card is legit:https://www.consumerfinance.gov/about-us/blog/economic-impact-prepaid-card/
VIP - Very Interesting Post
Thanks. See something, say something.
FYI ALERT
Just got an iPhone message to schedule my appointment to get my 1st Covid shot at the University of Michigan. I can do it any time in the next 18 months.
I’ll trade you my Nigerian Prince trillion dollar deposit for it.
It is like a gift card and the Treasury gave it to you because you didn’t use an electronic debit for last year’s taxes (or didn’t fill out an optional form to give the Treasury your account and routing numbers for occasions such as this).
Dump all money in it to your account or to cash.
Neighbor was just here discussing this. He said he got info that it is a SCAM.
DO NOT USE IT.
The Fed gov’mt is sending out our stimulus $$$ direct deposit before——WHY would they change that????
Who issued it?
What bank is it drawn on??
How much is on the card?
IF you try to use it, they can capture your bank account information & clean you out.
Monday is a holiday-—so that scam can gt a head start on your financial activities...
Heh, heh. Somehow I feel like that would have fewer strings attached to it.
One person here got the card-—but he got his prior stimulus deposits directly to his bank.
That doesn’t sound right to me...
I call scam.
How do you verify it is legit?
“There’s a list of transaction fees on the back of the sheet it came with for things like transferring the funds to my bank account (BANK ACCOUNT TRANSACTION FEE. . .there is NONE. Repeat, there is NO TRANSACTION FEE to get the balance to your bank).
Do more research, like talk to your bank about this, or your representatives office, do SOME MORE checking before doing anything associated with banking. If they are legit, they know your bank to send to your direct deposit e-payment. Your bank will be aware as well.
Sounds fishy to me but I don’t know, even with info on the net (it is supposedly a VISA pre-payment card. . .in that case, if you have a VISA, I’d call and talk with them).
IMHO.

IT Costs alot more to produce a card & MAIL it to you than to do direct deposit....
Then further down the page under Fee-Based Services and Transactions it reads, "ACH Transfer to Domestic Bank ...$2,5000 per transaction/$2,500 per day/$5,000 per month.
Again, what the hell?
Nope - go to the websites linked here; they’re US Gov sites that explain it all; those EIP cards are legit.
If you get one, will you send it to me?
