My first vanity, so please be gentle.

I did cancel my Twitter account (which I never used anyway). Thought about canceling FB, but the problem is that I used it to stay in touch with a lot of people I care about.

Also, trying to use DuckDuckGo instead of Google or Bing.

I was about to tell all my FB friends I was moving to Parler. That didn’t work out.

IMO, we can use FB to OUR advantage.

Actually, I had the exact same thought. Costs them both money and customers. Even better, contact the advertisers directly and tell them so.

Go back to landline phones and use BBS for chat.
Shop at local stores for American-made products.
Get off the web and cable.
Write and mail letters to acquaintances (supports USPS).

No criticism from me!

You’re thinking of achievable options and ACTING on them.

Good for you!

Here is my "brilliant" idea. Stay on sites like FB. But post on a regular basis that you REFUSE to do business with ANY of their advertisers

Thanks for this excellent idea. Get their email addy and drop them a line saying that you'll stay away for as long as they advertise on anti-1st amendment venues.

Facebook makes most of their revenue off of selling your data, not advertisers. When an app or social media service is free, YOU are the product.

There’s something to be said about maintaining a presence on these social media garbage dumps. In fact, I’d recommend setting up multiple accounts with fake names and identities — just so you can use them to access any websites that require a Facebook account to log into something.

Just make sure you make note of the advertisers that pop up on your social media pages ... and send them an e-mail from a separate address to let them know you’re NOT a 90 year-old black woman living in Detroit. These websites will fall apart once the advertisers lose confidence in the accuracy of the demographic profiles they’re using.

Donate any stimulus money to places like Gab or here

then impose a 1% payroll tax on yourself to continue to help fund them

What I have done so far:

* Opened accounts on Gab.com (seems better than Parler), Parler, MeWe.
* Permanently deleted my Facebook account. (13 year account holder)
* Cancelled Amazon Prime membership.
* Signed up for Rush 24/7 to avoid the seeBS updates at the breaks.
* Been using DuckDuckGo for a while.

Also stay on Twitter, but make your sole activity flagging liberal hate posts for abuse, threats, and other propaganda. Don’t just do it once or twice - we should be throwing a hundred Twitter flags a day. Use their own tools against them.

Go for it.

Infiltrating the enemy camp and causing chaos can be a very effective strategy. First, though, study the enemy’s weakness so you know where to inflict the most damage.

I used it to stay in touch with a lot of people I care about.

MeWe.com is very similar to facebook. Tell those you care about that they should move to mewe with you and see if they care about you.

You're on the right track. I use Facebook to destroy Facebook every day. Allowing people who hate them on their platform is a bad business model... so doom on them.

- Tell their advertisers in the comments that you don't do business with companies that advertise on Facebook. Post anti-Facebook news stories... on Facebook. Shame commies and lefties in front of their friends and families.

Tens of millions should do whatever they can to just trash the place and fk them over in any way possible.

better yet- set up a dummy account and deactivate your original FB account. I think your idea has merits but i deactivated my FB account more than 2 months ago and have no intention of going back.
