Obviously, we know Parler was shut down, anyone familiar with others?
About an hour ago the most popular rifle forum ar15.com went offline. Someone said Google was blocking their DNS.
Great purge is coming I think and I'm sure there will be more casualties.
Sounds good. It may come to that.
The democrats cannot allow free speech. Then people could find out what they really did with this election.
Yes, there were faster ones, but when BBS were first used the low end modem was 300 baud. My first computer had a 150 baud modem with an acoustic coupler that you would place a telephone handset. That was prior to BBSs.
did you check before posting?
I saw old movies with that in there also really old Radio Shack ads selling them; saw some cell phones that were the size of an old phone directory being carried around.
Speak for yourself you old crank! This old crank still has a good fight or two left in him. Just as soon as I catch my breath from typing this response so fast!
Conservative talk radio, too.
1570 AM in Flint, Michigan (Cumulus owned) switched from conservative talk to oldies music Jan. 1st. Mark Levin was on it and others.
I’m sure there are many others.
They’ll leave Rush alone (bad optics to silence him) until he passes, then fill his slot with a faux moderate. Or flip the station to not talk.
They truly fear our words.
The lights just blinked for a couple of minutes till the backup generator kicked in.
AR-15 is a GREAT site.
Looks like we had some visitors, lolololol
“I ended up in a chatroom from 1998 with a bunch of strange people.”
Well there goes cloud computing... nobody should ever trust cloud services ever again. Thank God!
Okay - will let him know as well as my gramps, he was into it back in the day.
I’m not saying it’s done widely, but it’s possible. The implementations I’ve seen are not ready for large scale primetime, but if you’re just hosting a BBS, how would it be different than an old dialup terminal?
Vulnerability is dependent on the implementation, not just on the naute of the service. There is nmore than one implementation of “telnet on port 23.” I’m sure the one that I got hosed through is easily hit with buffer overflow leading to automatic root access. That’s what was done to me. Other implementations may be more secure.
I spend time on irc, daily (near full time) and on other people’s hardware, so that works for chat like activity. A bunch of freepers did that for the Iraq war and for the Bush/Gore election fetivities.
A lot of people use Google DNS, unfortunately.
In the UAE (Dubai) it was almost a requirement as vast parts of the Internet and underlying services are banned. Anything that can be used for communication - like discord and even multiplayer chat.
If Rush is erased, especially at this point in his life, I think the right will rage. Considering that he is short on time, he’d be the perfect one to light the fuse.
Same here ... and "Roboboard" rules! (Scotty, beam me back there/then!)
They never should have trusted cloud computing in the first place.
And screw up a rant?
