Obviously, we know Parler was shut down, anyone familiar with others?
About an hour ago the most popular rifle forum ar15.com went offline. Someone said Google was blocking their DNS.
Great purge is coming I think and I'm sure there will be more casualties.
The Second City Cop Blog went invitation only overnight, no one knows why. The last thing I read was linked from FR about Apple censorship.
Practically I think this marks a true separation of conservative platforms into self sufficient hosting, if only because they cannot survive otherwise.
Obviously, those same hosting services will have to be made stable as well.
Look for a financial takedown of companies hosting conservative websites.
Light weight sites without using ones real name.....
Hummm.. wonder what that is like.
If you have not done it... get a NNTP client going with a server in multiple nations. They are going to overstep. Remember the Christian bakers who refuse two groom weddings, there is some business you apparently cannot refuse, and some court with a sence of humor will be there.
If AR15.com is hosted in South Africa who really cares, just have piss away email accounts. Have the phone numbers of your ammo supplier and a box of checks to mail them. Time to drop a few hundred on supplies and use a credit card while you can.
I keep thinking pressure will be put on the radio stations that carry him. It's just a matter of time, in my opinion.
Another option is to call out a list of liberal sites to start overwelming the mods with. DailyKos Loves when I show up...800 replys per minute.
Given the current situation, you have to think Rush Limbaugh is a major target of the left, he’s been a pain in their ass for over 30 years and now is the time to get him off the air, which given his health condition really evil
Does it really boil down to hatred? I think that answer is too easy. Is there a cost/benefit analysis that predicts a large payout down the line? Large enough to justify losing half your customers?
Used to be that performers, as a rule, tried to stay apolitical. There was never any sense in alienating half your audience. What’s changed?
This is a domain name hosting site GoDaddy that took down AR15.com.
A domain name server translates the name ar15.com to an IP address such as 192.178.204.17.
If your domain name hosting service pulls your DNS entry, you're offline no matter where your servers are.
Yahoo was good for those.
Damn that was some fun stuff.
I was bad sometimes however.......I would impersonate people that would make me nuts.
One was FordMachII.........I made his name FordMachll (using 2 lower case “Ls” instead of 2 capital I’s) and I’d post stuff that was outrageous as if it was him. Those were the days......😂🤣🤪
Because then you can brag to all of your hip Silicon Valley lib friends how you "took down another NAZI website."
businesses to stop using
amazon
godaddy
twitter
facebook
keep adding your own
Still happens today on some sites where people impersonate others; some sites ask for ID verification.
...some sites ask for ID verification such as Quora.
Check again. Its labeled “backup site”.
Could be a “denial of service” attack.
Yep.
I got verified on Parler.
I can’t believe how many people fall for fake Trumps over there......sheeesh just look for the Gold Shield.
Must a whole congressional district worth of Trumps on Parler.......Eric, Don Jr., Ivanka.........and of course the President.
It might be, because I’ve tried a few times this afternoon to bring up rushlimbaugh.com and 1 or 2 times out of 10 the site comes up but most times it fails.
All of a sudden all of my posts at Breitbart are being held up for review. When this started happening, I made a very short post that contained nothing whatsoever that would be controversial, just to test the system, and it happened again.
irc is alive and well. I don’t know how much traffic on usenet. telnet is peer-to-peer and a massive security hole. Talk/ytalk is simple irc-like interface, not secure.
There are many different communication models. Scaling up is not easy to do well.
