Just wanted to drop in and give a quick note about the issues we saw today, with the massive influx of new members coming onboard to Parler, we've been busy working on making sure the platform works well as we go forwards and prepare for more people to join the site.
We're working on alternate ways to acquire the mobile application, we'll be providing more updates for that over the next couple of days as we finalize locations and how we want to distribute it (Thanks to @sickcodes for offering to help along the way with iOS, we've passed this on as best we can so far, pretty late USTZ at the moment)
It might be a couple of rocky days ahead as we keep patching and fixing things, every time we find an issue, we're chasing it down with whatever team members are needed so we can ensure the best possible experience through these times of growth.

The lady from Parler on Tucker Carlson last night said Apple was the main distributer of their app. She also said their server was hosted on Amazon. They really need to work on that.
Is there a website that updates how many total users Parler has? It would be interesting to track its growth.

Yes, you can. Dont need the app.
I’d hate to be their IT department right now. If they are truly using Amazon services they should be wary that they will probably be deplatformed outright in a matter of hours.
Parker is a web site. Use your web browser.
Don't think that's not coming, and I'd hope for Parler's sake they have a Plan B to restore service when it happens.
Anyone remember what happened to GAB when they got too big for Twitter/Google/Apple? Deplatformed. They've never recovered fully either.

Cannot get on parler. Several weeks ago I tried over a period of a couple of days, with no luck. After entering a password, supposed to get an email to confirm - - zip. Tried resend - - zip. Repeated the same a day or so ago.
When I couldn’t get back on parler, I figured it was one of two things: 1) some form of hostile action directed to parler or 2) too many new users. I’m glad it’s was the latter.
I was listening to a localized conservative talkshow host between 5 and 6 pm last evening. He commented several times that he was getting so many new ‘follow’ requests on his relatively new Parler account that he couldn’t keep up.

Over the past several weeks I have been openly warning the Gab community to be on the lookout for fedposters and threats or encouragement of violence on Gab. This PSYOP campaign started back in early December with newly created accounts popping up out of nowhere and making threats of violence. We have zero tolerance for this behavior and it is absolutely not free speech.
This has always been our policy. We have thousands of volunteers, customers, and longtime community members who helped us stomp out this PSYOP campaign over the past several weeks and expose it. After this week, it's clear why this PSYOP was started: to take down alt-tech platforms and frame them for the January 6th protests that ended with the police killing an unarmed woman.
