Device is meant to help with global warming.
A sustainable agriculture company has manufactured a device they say will help curb global warming by neutralizing methane exhaled by cows.
Zelp, a company based in London, says that its device can help contribute to a "strong reduction in the global warming potential of methane."
The mask, which is strapped to the snouts of cows, "neutralises methane exhaled in real time," the company claims.
The device also has digital monitoring technologies such as geolocation and emission monitoring capabilities.
Activists have warned that cows are significant contributors to global warming due to their regular emission of methane, including in the form of burps. Methane from cattle "contribute[s] nearly 10% of greenhouse gas emissions worldwide when measured over 20 years," Zelp argues.
No..........
There are several large dairies in my area that have electric generation from manure methane.
Yeah, but isn’t it their farts that matter?
Proof that government grants combined with frulent research produce results that stink.
Need some sent to d.c. stat! 😷💩
Soylent Green isn’t your Father’s Seaweed, but it could be your Father.
frulent = fraudulent
Face masks?
They’d need BUTT masks.
That is what I thought, methane comes out of a cow’s rear end after the grass is processed via the stomachs and intestines, not from its lungs via its nose.
Oh, boy, global warming idiots must think dinosaur farts killed the dinosaurs.
Dinosaurs can thank their lucky asteroids they never met a liberal.
The first reliable re-breather was developed in 1878.
Their use expanded in WWII and were the same principle, compressed oxygen with CO2 adsorbent or absorbent.

I didn’t know much about work until I spent a summer helping to milk 80 cows daily and bucking hay in 90 degrees.
Now, while it is true that cows do eructate (belch) a certain small amount of methane gas, the far greater amount is expelled by flatus. From the other end.
All assertions to the contrary, neither methane nor carbon dioxide have any measurable effect on either global warming or cooling. This is a modern mythology built into the current humanistic secularism that styles itself as the religion of the “smartest people around”. They claim to have “science” on their side, but few if any have ever actually STUDIED any of the physical sciences, and those that have, probably flunked the courses anyway.

Well, what is the chemical reaction? What is the output product?
I see CO, CO2 (should go over big), methanol, with a quick search.
And how does that device on the nose capture any significant amount of methane?
If whatever is in that nose device works, I see a market for special fibers to be woven into underpants. Like the copper fiber knee compression sleeves.
If the process would make ethanol, weave it into our Covid masks.
“Well, we fixed your sense of smell... Now let’s start working on the hearing.”
That is not a happy cow. Did the researchers understand that one of the things that cows do (and most animals for that matter) is rub their heads on things? Or that a cow breathing thru their mouths is a sign something is wrong with the cow? Or that seeming ‘different’ is reason enough to trigger herd aggression which will affect the flavor of the milk/taste of the beef from a stressed herd?
