There is good news for those who like to make their Free Republic donation via PayPal. It can still be done!

Jim has advised that John is working on getting the new PayPal API re-written. In the meantime, PayPal also has a Credit/Debit card GUEST Checkout option. No need to login to PayPal. Click the "Pay with Debit or Credit Card" option on the PayPal page that comes up after you click the "Pay Now" button.

At the beginning of a thread, before post number one, you will see the information on how to use this PayPal option.

NOTE: Since other graphics also sometimes appear in that area, it may be necessary to refresh the page a time or two until the PayPal screen appears.

Is there any chance of adding a $25 option? That is the amount I’d like to pay when I donate. I put in $20 this year, but that didn’t seem enough to me. I’m not making the higher jump ever. I’m weird.

I just donated, and the paypal thingy just appeared on the screen when I clicked on “pay”, and it went right through as it does when I make purchases by paypal.

I use Bill Pay. Or some banks call it E-pay

You simply set Free Republic up as a recurring monthly payee, and each month your bank automatically mails a check directly to Jim’s PO Box.

Easy Peasy.
