The way it works is a letter stands for another letter. For example: AXYDLBAAXR is LONGFELLOW (does not apply to today's cryptogram).
Beware, the game is very addictive. If this is your first time, don't be intimidated, you’ll be solving them all within a few days. If you’re stumped, take a break and return to it.
PLEASE DO NOT post the answer in general comments, but DO post your time and how you made out.
You can certainly send your solution to my private reply, or if you need a hint for today’s Cryptogram ASK THE GROUP FOR HELP!
I suggest printing these out and work them on paper. If you need a little help you can copy and paste it to Hal’s Helper below.
You can then work on the puzzle without using pen and paper, but I recommend that you do NOT look at the letter counter.
One last request. Feel free to post a fun or clever clue, the more tangential to the quotation the better, but please don’t put the actual words of the quote in the clue.

Challenging Cryptogram today.
10 minutes is good
5 minutes is an excellent score today
2 minutes superior
Don’t forget the contest on the 6th.
Under two minutes! Whew. There have been some tough ones lately.
Thank you, that made me smile.

This is one where HAL throws you off. Easier to do on paper.
What was with that guy yesterday who wanted the answer before he could solve it?
Despite my seeing the ‘teaser’ this was considered to be fairly easy....
‘They’ say it takes more muscles to frown than to smile and I reply with...
“How else do you think I would get my exercise???”
I think he was making it harder than it needed to be. The “key” is the English language.

Guessed the first two words correctly which gave spelling hints to some words.
Struggle.
Went to plan D
Experimented with suffix on word eight.
Got the wrong suffix, but my guess was close enough to open the rest of the answer
You now have 1st letter and I think one other letter of 4th word. How many words begin with that letter? Then, the last word before the comma, you now have its 1st letter. Look at the letter pattern. After that, off to the races.
