"Crazy on You" is a song by American rock band Heart from their debut studio album, Dreamboat Annie (1975). It was released in March 1976.
Heart lead singer Ann Wilson wrote the lyrics.
The song opens with the acoustic guitar stylings of Nancy Wilson, Ann's sister and bandmate. She plays for 45 seconds before Roger Fisher's electric guitar blasts in.
Nancy recalled how the instrumentation was inspired by a classic Moody Blues tune.
"I remember I had a bad flu and was kind of delirious," she said. "The lyric was so great that it kind of lifted me up in my sick bed. Two days later I was better, and we started to set it to music. We were listening to a lot of Moody Blues back then. There was a song called Question that had this fast, fiery guitar rhythm. That was our idea for the groove. Then Roger Fisher came up with the really cool riff over A-minor to F, and that gave it some more beautiful momentum."

I always hated this song.
I loved this song. In fact, I loved the entire album Dreamboat Annie.
Ann Wilson, greatest female singer in all of rock and roll.
Wasn’t afraid of an amplifier.

Wilson sisters are right up there with the Langley Sisters. Amazing ladies.
Good song for girl power (I have 3 daughters).

Saw them Summer of 2019. Ann Wilson still has the pipes. It was a great show.
Linda Ronstadt
Impossible not to like this song. Has all the elements of a great classic rock song. My only complaint is I’ve heard it so many times I’ve kind of gone numb to it.
This pick is before Wilson got fat. Really pretty.
Me too! Fantastic album !
Commies.
Love them. Nancy is why I chose guitar.
I loved this song
That acoustic intro is one of the most intricate and stylish pieces of rock music to this day. Nancy was amazing when she did it onstage, too.
Then the electrics and the drums come roaring in, and Ann’s vocals carry it over the top.
A magnificent piece of musicianship, songwriting and performance. The guys behind the board did a pretty good job too, both in the studio and live.
