Walmart’s China branch announced at an investment conference hosted by the Wuhan city government on Wednesday that it was committing 3 billion yuan ($425 million) to expand its presence in the origin point of the coronavirus pandemic over the next five years.

Founder Sam Walton was in the Berlin air lift. Later when he was running Walmart he was patriotic and tried to shift over to USA made merchandise. The result was many higher prices that customers didn’t like and empty shelves as much stuff wasn’t made in USA. Walmart very quietly retreated its made- in- USA campaign. The cows had already got out of the barn.
