King’s Hawaiian sweet rolls are not Hawaiian enough, a new lawsuit charges.
The class-action suit, filed Friday in Manhattan federal court, accuses the maker of the popular baked products of defrauding consumers by suggesting they’re still made in the Aloha State.
In fact, they’re made in California.
“King’s Hawaiian has been known as the most authentic purveyor of its eponymous Hawaiian rolls,” Long Island attorney Spencer Sheehan, who filed the lawsuit on behalf of a Yonkers man and others, told The Post on Tuesday.
“Unfortunately, they’re labeling gives consumers the impression that it’s made in Hawaii,” he said. “It’s not.”

You think wonderbread comes out of one single giant bakery? Umm no. They have local bakers in all the major cities.
And does it make sense to ship all the necessary ingredients for King rolls to Hawaii, and then ship the finished product back?
You’d never buy any because they’d cost too much.
I used to like them all by themselves.
Now my heart doc [and my wife] says no..................
Cow not raised in New York for a New York strip steak?
Champagne not from Champagne France?
California Rolls ("artificial" crab meat) not made in California?
Texas Tumbleweed (onion side order) not made in Texas?
Coca-cola no longer contains cocaine?
Long Island Iced Tea not made in Long Island NY? not made with tea?
Foster ("Australian for beer") not made in Australia?
Irish soda bread not made in Ireland?
Does he have "standing"?
at least we still have Italian sausage
And German chocolate isn’t from Germany.
It’s everywhere. Mexicans cooking at Greek and Italian places and I once saw a Taco Bell with all Vietnamese employees.
That’s like salsa made in New York City.
People are so stupid.
There’s a pack of Kings Hawaiian dinner rolls on our Charlotte, NC kitchen counter right now. Never did I believe KH flew it in from Hawaii and loaded it on the bread racks at Sam’s Club.
I also don’t believe Aunt Jemima is in some backroom mixing up pancake mix and pouring it into a box for me to buy at the grocery store.
And Venezuelan Beaver Cheese, isn't even from Venezuela nor made of Beavers.
I won’t even get into Rocky Mountain oysters . . .
LOL!
In Mexico it’s the reverse.
Chinese running the kitchens in restaurants in Guadalajara or Mexico DF.
Venezuelan or not, I ain’t putting anything called “beaver cheese” in my mouth.
“Champagne not from Champagne France?”
Under French AOC laws, a sparkling wine can only be labeled champagne if it comes from the Champagne region. This of course doesn’t apply outside France.
“Foster (”Australian for beer”) not made in Australia?”
I don’t know if this is still the case, but at one time the Foster’s (Astrayan for Budweiser) sold in the US was brewed in Canada.
And those delicious Utz Maui BBQ potato chips should be called Hanover BBQ potato chips?
LOL!
and free range chickens aren’t free anymore.........flush Newsom for that!!!!!!!!!!
