It's unlikely that there's a super-contagious Wuhan virus floating around: So-called scientists are manipulating people with highly suspect data

The latest scare headlines warn us that a super-contagious strain of the Wuhan virus has emerged in England and is breaking free into the rest of the world.  You can already hear the Chicken Littles running around screaming, "We're all going to die."  It turns out, though, that the data are based upon a very preliminary, almost certainly inaccurate, study from the same Imperial College London group that started the original panic about a coming plague worse than the Black Death.

Some time ago, when appearing on Tucker Carlson, Mark Steyn said British prime minister Boris Johnson's brush with the Wuhan virus had destroyed him.  He's simply not the same man anymore.  Where he was once a confident leader, he's now a nervous follower — and there's no one he follows with more nervous energy than whatever scientist has caught his ear.

On December 18, the British media reported that Boris Johnson was going to announce a draconian series of new lockdowns based upon informed he'd heard about a "new mutation" of the Wuhan virus that was 70% more transmissible than the existing strain.  With Johnson panicking, there was a chain reaction of panic in other countries, including the U.S.  Suddenly, Britain was on the top of everyone's travel ban list.

The problem, as Jordan Schachtel notes, is that there's really no science behind the latest panic.  Instead, it appears in a single, preliminary projection from a team that's been consistently wrong about everything:

British media has reported Boris Johnson received his 70% more transmissible statistic from a single source, Erik Volz, an epidemiologist in his mid 30s who is currently a member of Imperial College London's epidemiology department.

And “The American Thinker” has been so credible on this issue in the past...such as when they published an article *after* Trump was hospitalized and had confirmed his symptoms and diagnosis personally that “all signs point to this being a false positive” and that Trump had shown no symptoms to date, and such as when they reported that the vaccine “modifies you genetically.”

Only a handful of countries were able to withstand the drumbeat of draconian lockdown. US is faring better than the rest of the world. Boris Johnson is not an outlier.

Coronavirus tend to replicate A LOT. They are very good at that. They do not replicate very well. MOST of a virus’ offspring are damaged and do not replicate. They simply “die” and are destroyed by the body. Once in a while a mutation would happen that can replicate. But more often than not, they are not as effective as the original.

So think: COVID; Quantity but not Quality.

Reading up on viruses (Read the books on the 1918 Spanish Flu) will educate you enough to understand what is going on—and to understand a bunch of people do not understand how any of this works.

Thank you, that's a helpful summation and reminder for we laymen who are dealing with this...

Under the assumption, of course, that there is NOT a v2.0 of this virus either waiting to be released, or just recently released.

The Chinese virus is too good a crisis to not be made permanent and exploited for maximum gain by the Faucis of the world and the oligarchs they work for, IMO.

Maybe I'm mistaken though and it will fizzle out in time. Stay alive and stay tuned...

If you really think about it, 'Saint Fauci' has been wrong ever since January, 2020, 'right from the jump'.
He believed the Chinese government, even after they persecuted the physicians who first found covid, and the government destroyed all their data,
and then the Chinese government refused entry of WHO and international physicians to access the situation, and conduct their own tests and get virus samples.
The world-wide contamination was just happenstance, just before a Presidential election, in the freest democratic country of the world,..right ?
As one politician has said: 'in an election year, there is no such thing as coincidence', timing is everything !
Forget that Fauci had sent $4 million U.S. dollars to the Chinese for added security to the Wuhan institute, the alleged source of the coronavirus.
The medical identity of a pandemic was altered just prior to the world-wide contamination, happenstance, right ?
Additionally, he has consistently 'flip-flopped' from position to position : wearing masks, not wearing masks, to compulsory masks and quarantine.
He has continually, along with the CDC , moved the 'goal posts' from not having hospitals and ICU departments overwhelmed,
to where we are now, with the zealot media broadcasting daily numbers of daily infections, thus exhorting social and regional panic.
A fraud election of insecure 'mail-in ballots' caused by a viral infection, with quarantine and a crashing economy,
mean very little to 'Saint Fauci' and the compliant CDC. They will continue to survive .
State Governors who won't allow certain known medications to it's citizenry, just so that they can impose a quarantine
and then go and tell us that the quarantines aren't political !
Compare the death rates among the elderly between this year and years previous totals to this year,
and then tell me that this isn't political theater / Kabuki theater !
