While Barack Obama was once the greatest inspiration for gun-buying in America, 2020 offered Americans the best incentives ever to buy.
Once upon a time, as a Democrat who grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area, I was such an anti-gun fanatic that I donated to the Brady Campaign. Thankfully, I saw the light after Hurricane Katrina (when seconds counted, the police were days away), and have made up for my past bad judgment by being an NRA member, using my writing abilities to promote the Second Amendment, and helping the bottom line at several local gun stores. That’s why it gladdens my heart to tell you one of the good things about 2020: It was a banner year for gun sales!
When it comes to guns, the anti-gun crowd lacks imagination. To them, guns exist for one purpose: To murder people or, occasionally, to kill people accidentally. If you take away guns, they “reason,” you will take away murder and accidental deaths.
People with a deeper and more nuanced understanding support the Second Amendment because they understand that guns don’t commit murders

In 2020, Americans were reminded that civil unrest is another good reason to keep and bear arms. The Democrats were waiting for an opportunity to attack the police and George Floyd’s drug overdose while in police custody was the spark they needed. Leftist Americans took to the streets. And while it’s true that many George Floyd marches were polite affairs (usually in places with Republican governance), marches in Democrat-run enclaves more than offset the constitutionally peaceful protests.
Upon seeing mass marches followed by riots, followed by looting, followed by maddened crowds descending on residential neighborhoods, Americans did the only logical thing: They put their Second Amendment right to practical use and stocked up.

Went to the local gun emporium yesterday and they had a surprising amount of ammo on the shelf.
Not cheap but aside from the hollow point, not extortionately expensive either.
The home defense stuff was more than double the price of the target practice stuff.

Like that.
:^)

That is how I see it.
A dirty and unfair war has the possibility of victory, however small. Fixed elections have none.
“you’re damn right we’re coming after your AR-15!”
And to think, from 1962-1984 they “Only wanted to register and ban HANDGUNS! Rifles will not be affected!”
The lies we have been told over the years...
1962 We ONLY want to register handguns. Rifles will not be affected!
1964, We ONLY want to register ALL firearms, not ban them.
1968 We ONLY want to register all guns, and ban the import of foreign Saturday Night Specials, and 5-shot bolt action army surplus rifles! (they got the ban).
1970, We ONLY want to ban small American handguns. Rifles will not be affected!
1976 We ONLY want to ban ALL handguns! Rifles will not be affected!
1981, Actress Lee Grant on GMA screams...”THE NRA IS A RIFLE ORGANIZATION! THEY SHOULD GIVE UP THEIR HANDGUNS AND THEY CAN KEEP THEIR RIFLES!”
1984, they made a grab for the rifles, and missed, but played their hand.
1988,Josh Sugarmann, of the National Council to Ban Handguns tells how to ban rifles.
“Assault weapons’ menacing looks, coupled with the public’s confusion over
fully-automatic machine guns versus semi-automatic assault weapons
—anything that looks like a machine gun is assumed to be a machine
gun— can only increase the chance of public support for restrictions on
these weapons.”
– Josh Sugarmann
If they can get an AW ban rest assured they will return for their original target, HANDGUNS.
Was at the store getting range ammo a few weeks ago, and heard a store employee telling a customer that if he wanted to order a specific Glock it would be 9-12 months to arrive per the factory. What is being sold now was ordered in May 2020. Granted, this is California and only certain models made as of 2013 can be sold to non-LEO civilians.
Ammo shipments do seem to arrive here every week or two now. .380 and 9 mm tend to sell out very quickly. Thats why my last purchase was a CZ .45 ACP which I stumbled across in a store.
CA has a small and fixed list of Glock that serfs are allowed to enjoy. These are all older models and Glock continues to make them as replacements and for the poor serfs (and a few who like that generation, and the build your own folks.)
IMHO Gen5 FTW.
Rhetorical, right?
You mean, gun store?
However, the list of approved handguns is contingent upon the manufacturer. Glock only chose to have those specific models approved. Dunno their criteria, though. I guess Glock sent their most popular models since so many Glock models are redundant. I personally own a G19, G43X and G44.
That said, all of kali's gun laws are unconstitutional and need to be overturned by SCOTUS. Someday, maybe.
Yes.
That’s exactly right.
Just having to wait one minute at a traffic light for some people creates massive explosive impulsive rage for this generation.
I see it all the time.
These amateurs have no idea what they wish for, and quite frankly I can’t help but chuckle when they spout off ‘civil war’.
Very articulate and spot on picture.
LOL!
I pray that a civil war doesn’t happen. It will be ugly and happen in the small towns and big cities. No one knows how it would play out yet. Do states succeed and throw their National guardsmen against the feds and regular army? Or is it a small hit and run fight taking out their gun confiscation teams as a group or one at a time? Who’s the targets, size, locations?
The US military can easily occupy locations around the country and control that area, but when they move to another area they no longer can control where they were. The internet and phones would be turned off or censored. There are many ways this plays out possibly.
My post has nothing to do with pointing out two choices. Try re-reading it again.
I’m simply saying this generation of blowhards who can barely run 100 yards without collapsing have no idea what a real civil war means.
Those wishing for it cannot even contemplate the reality of what it will bring and the massive level of death it will create.
If most vets come back from country with PTSD, imagine the downright suicidal mental anguish a real CW would do to this already snowflake society.
Keep dreaming of your CW..
In my world ( co workers, neighbors, business owners ) it is becoming clearer that there are only one or two hills to die for. The rigged election doesn’t seem for most to die for. However, most in my neck of the woods see the stolen election as a means to next steal guns from citizens. Most every single gun owner I talk to will not give up their weapons without a fight, nor will they submit to registration, licensing ( tax),....I do fully expect the mother of all “ showdowns”, ( extreme violence ) to be directed at all attempting in any shape or form to steal citizen’s personal property ( firearms and ammo) and only means of protection. Steal an election, an insult. Try to steal our firearms- the hill to die on.
I have seen the mayhem of CW in SA, anyone wishing for one has no idea what they wish for. Death, disease, depravity, poverty, hunger, murder, pillaging, father against son, daughter against mother, sister against brother, neighbor against neighbor. I have no idea how our current situation pans out, but the “ direction” is most troubling.
I dream of a peaceful separation and secession.
I think you might consider that stealing this election is just a precursor to stealing your firearms. Why wait? If you wait for them to come for your guns, then you have given them time to prepare for that task.
