Megan Rapinoe, Billie Jean King & 174 female athletes sign brief supporting trans women in sports

Megan Rapinoe, Billie Jean King, and 174 other female athletes signed an amicus brief in support of transgender girls and women playing sports as their gender identity.

“As women and LGBTQ+ athletes,” says their brief, they “submit that all youth deserve an equal opportunity to participate in sports alongside their peers. Such equal opportunity benefits the entire sports community.”

The brief was filed in Hecox v. Little, a lawsuit brought against the state of Idaho, which passed a law this year banning transgender girls and women from competing in school sports as girls and women.

The law also allows for a female student-athlete’s gender to be “challenged” and requires the athlete to undergo medical exams to “prove” it. A doctor, the law says, will have to examine the athlete’s genitalia, hormones, and DNA and make a determination of their gender, something that Democrats pointed out is not recommended by the American Academy of Pediatrics.

Boise State University athlete Lindsay Hecox, who is transgender, and the ACLU filed a federal lawsuit against Idaho Gov. Brad Little (R) to overturn the law.

King is consistent. She openly supported Renee Richards. But Richard’s had undergone Christine Jorgensen surgery so she had far more claim to female status than today’s trannies.

Trans-women can compete against Trans-women, anything else is ludicrous.

“As women and LGBTQ+ athletes,” says their brief, they “submit that all youth deserve an equal opportunity to participate in sports alongside their peers. Such equal opportunity benefits the entire sports community.”

Physical competitions are not peers, they re competitors. And in some cases using any means to win, not compete.

With the publicity stunt done by the college that brought the girl kicker into the mix for nothing but extra points, as her first kickoff squibbed a little less than 30 yards, is crossing the line on funding but still protecting women’s sports at the youth level. It’s all fine for professionals to talk about competing at the highest level when no woman has ever been able to win any physically based sport while “competing” with their counterpart gender. And when are they going to invite the men to play softball, field hockey or soccer with the women?

If you want to use bowling or chess as a sport, then you have a winner. But anything physically based, i.e. major sports where all the money is, then you are kidding yourself if you think women can take the punishment and don’t lack the speed and upper body strength to compete.

And the funny thing about it is the reason title 10 was initiated: “Athletic programs are considered educational programs and activities.” So because of a lack of an educational process, you’re going to generate the funds to invite a 150 pound young woman to go head up with a 250 pound defensive lineman? She will definitely get an education. And when she gets out of the hospital, she can go back to class.

There are women playing in specialized positions in certain sports with the men. In pro baseball there are a couple of female pitchers that throw knuckleballs or forkballs. Their fastball due to the female body is good at around 70 MPH, high school speed. Men’s batting practice is harder than that.

Now I am probably not going to make many people happy with these comments, but I trained women for the military for over 30 years and I never found a single female member that didn’t need different standards for physical aptitude for the military. It’s not a sin to be in that position, just logical and optimal.

I’m male so I didn’t birth any children. I know what happens to a woman during that and it is amazing to me how they do it.

Some will try to use golf as a co-gender sport. But that takes upper body strength and that’s why the women’s tees are closer. And if you put the women at the championship tees, they are destined on far more than half the holes to being a club short. And the landing zones will be wrong for them...traps, OB, water, and rough. There are only 3 women in the world attached to the PGA that can average a drive over 280 yards. The average for all the men this year was a little over 291 yards and 21 golfers on the tour having a driving average of better than 300 yards. And when you consider the amount of par 3’s on each side, they re making it up with longer distances the women can’t even start to get. And hey don’t tryto hit it a mile each time. Not advantages. No sin, just facts. So the women would be a club, at least, behind the men on every hole bigger than a par 3 which normally constitutes 14 a round.

You’ll also notice the article references youth sports. How come the girls can play little league baseball but the boys can’t play little league softball?

This point of trying to put men with women in physical sports is just political manure in too many cases trying to boost money for the pros. Yet when they mix all the sports it can be a reality, but it will destroy the women’s opportunities for the, so called, learning experience of sports.

It’s so sad to watch people ignore basic biology. At my gym, they have a public board where they display the top weight-lifting achievements by members. It’s broken down by male and female. (How sexist!) In every category, whether it’s bench press or dead lift or squats, there’s not a single record where the top female can do even half of what the top males do. In several categories, the top female does less than one-third of the top male.

Billie Jean king in her prime took three sets to bear and old male tennis player who was never top tier in his prime

I agree with the basic point you are trying to make, but: (1) it was a best of 5 match. She beat him in straight sets. (2) Riggs was number 1 in the world in his prime.

Let us not forget Bruce Jenner. I understand he/she is currently dating a woman.

From Wiki:

In 2015, Jenner said that she has never been sexually attracted to men, but always to women, and that, keeping in mind the difficulty people have understanding the difference between sexual orientation and gender identity, she would identify as asexual for the time being.[134][135] Jenner underwent cosmetic surgery, and ultimately completed sex reassignment surgery in January 2017.[9]

Sports is dead to most now, only gays, trans and BLM care about sports now because they’ve taken them over and made them part of their movement.

Increasing numbers of normal sports people will figure that out over time.

My Dad’s take 50 years ago: “Don’t sit around watching a sport. Sports are for playing.”

I think it was Margaret Court that Bobby Riggs beat even after setting up about 10 folding chairs on his side of the court.

If our side wasn’t so scared of the left, we’d realize that this is the PERFECT WEDGE ISSUE to destroy the Democrats with.

What we SHOULD do is take advantage of this crap, send our male kids into those sports, into those locker rooms, and state that we play by the rules and if it bothers the girls/women/feminists, they can end it, if they wish to.

...instead we get mixed up in what should be THEIR BATTLES, not ours.

Send our male kids into those sports? Most male kids would be horrified at doing that.

All athletes who have achieved their positions already. They wont ever have to compete against men. Just like the only people who support abortion are already alive.
