Megan Rapinoe, Billie Jean King & 174 female athletes sign brief supporting trans women in sports

Megan Rapinoe, Billie Jean King, and 174 other female athletes signed an amicus brief in support of transgender girls and women playing sports as their gender identity.

“As women and LGBTQ+ athletes,” says their brief, they “submit that all youth deserve an equal opportunity to participate in sports alongside their peers. Such equal opportunity benefits the entire sports community.”

The brief was filed in Hecox v. Little, a lawsuit brought against the state of Idaho, which passed a law this year banning transgender girls and women from competing in school sports as girls and women.

The law also allows for a female student-athlete’s gender to be “challenged” and requires the athlete to undergo medical exams to “prove” it. A doctor, the law says, will have to examine the athlete’s genitalia, hormones, and DNA and make a determination of their gender, something that Democrats pointed out is not recommended by the American Academy of Pediatrics.

Boise State University athlete Lindsay Hecox, who is transgender, and the ACLU filed a federal lawsuit against Idaho Gov. Brad Little (R) to overturn the law.

Allowing men to compete in women's sports is so progressive!

Peers is the operative word. The gender-confused only have other gender-confused as peers. Let them compete against each other, and leave the girls to their competitions.

There’s just a whole lot of misogyny going on and by women no less!

Sports are all about the rules agreed to. Leaving the LGBTQ argument aside for a moment, segregation by gender is basic for without it it’s difficult to imagine large numbers of female participants post-puberty. Now returning to the question of LGBTQ... you can have the legal they can have a legal victory, or you can have girls/women’s sports. But as a practical matter you can’t have both.

May all 176 of them
Someday have their fanny
Totally whipped in their chosen sport
By an opponent who is a tranny.

Ironic because none of them would even be a known name if competing against men.

Billie Jean king in her prime took three sets to bear and old male tennis player who was never top tier in his prime

I've always found this comical. Men in women's sports means women lose. So all of this want for equality just means that men persevere? Law of unintended consequences?

Curious if Megan Rapinoe or Billie Jean King would date one of these "women"?

There's actually quite a debate in the LGBT community if lesbians should date trannies and if it is discriminatory for them not to.

They’re pulling up the ladder from behind them. They’ve achieved their success and reaped the rewards from separate-sex sports, and will not be affected one whit by the hordes of cross-dressing dropouts from men’s sports driving out the next generation of female athletes.

Yup, further confirmation (as if needed) of the prime rule of liberals/progressives & their associated below three digit IQ dwellers: “Everything we touch, we turn to sh**.”

Not that my support means anything at all, but any trans (mental-problemus maximus) that “wins” a sports competition will be given as much support and belief as the Biden “win”.

War is coming.

They’ll basically be sanctioned “ringers” that every women’s team will want to have. Biological females will get lost in the shuffle.

Its like the 18 year old playing little league and claiming to be 14.

Liberals are a suicide cult.

I would laugh at how how they’re stabbing their own in the back, but it doesn’t compare to how we’ve been stabbed in the back by many in the GOP over these election results.

I wonder if they’d sign this brief if King wasn’t long retired and Rapinoe wasn’t close to retirement. Did King forget that Bobby Riggs was in his 50s when she beat him, and may have actually thrown the match? Do either of them actually believe they would have had any success if they’d had to compete against biological men?
