Sports are all about the rules agreed to. Leaving the LGBTQ argument aside for a moment, segregation by gender is basic for without it it’s difficult to imagine large numbers of female participants post-puberty. Now returning to the question of LGBTQ... you can have the legal they can have a legal victory, or you can have girls/women’s sports. But as a practical matter you can’t have both.

Did King forget that Bobby Riggs was in his 50s when she beat him, and may have actually thrown the match? Do either of them actually believe they would have had any success if they’d had to compete against biological men?
It is especially harmful to school age girls who work so hard to excel at their sport only to be shoved aside by some hulking queer man. I can't imagine how devastating that is psychologically for the real girls.
If you allow trans to participate in women’s professional sports, that will be the end of women’s sports. No one is going to want to pay to watch trans men competing against women. They will lose fans, and as a results pro female athletes will not be paid very much, and it will collapse.
Rapinoe is working against her own self interests, which is rather interesting because she has been complaining about salary disparities between mens and women’s soccer for awhile now.
