Megan Rapinoe, Billie Jean King & 174 female athletes sign brief supporting trans women in sports

Megan Rapinoe, Billie Jean King, and 174 other female athletes signed an amicus brief in support of transgender girls and women playing sports as their gender identity.

“As women and LGBTQ+ athletes,” says their brief, they “submit that all youth deserve an equal opportunity to participate in sports alongside their peers. Such equal opportunity benefits the entire sports community.”

The brief was filed in Hecox v. Little, a lawsuit brought against the state of Idaho, which passed a law this year banning transgender girls and women from competing in school sports as girls and women.

The law also allows for a female student-athlete’s gender to be “challenged” and requires the athlete to undergo medical exams to “prove” it. A doctor, the law says, will have to examine the athlete’s genitalia, hormones, and DNA and make a determination of their gender, something that Democrats pointed out is not recommended by the American Academy of Pediatrics.

Boise State University athlete Lindsay Hecox, who is transgender, and the ACLU filed a federal lawsuit against Idaho Gov. Brad Little (R) to overturn the law.

We should have sport teams be a test case for where we are going as a society. Require 50% men/women and 60%/15%/15%/10% white/black/Hispanic/Asian and let the chips fall where they may.

Let them compete against each other,

Yes.

If there are 57 genders, then with Title IX, there should be 57 versions of each track, baseball, football, wrestling, etc., team.

Their effect will be to destroy women’s sports at anything beyond a college level, and certainly women’s professional sports.

To which I say - Who Cares?

I am all for this. I would love to see a 6-3 transgender female player, who recently chose to identify as such, come down the football pitch and put Ms Rapinoe on her arse, likely ending her career.

Professional sports is at it’s core is just entertainment. They make money because people are willing to pay money to watch. Women sports are not entertaining to most so they are at the bottom when it comes to financial reward. Put men in dresses playing women’s sports and you will get even fewer willing to pay to watch.

Bottom line, men in dresses will kill women sports for good.

There's nothing sexist about ensuring that girls have an equal opportunity to participate in sports... The problem is when the leftists force the idea that equal opportunity = equal results

Men's college and professional sports generate lots of revenue.

Women's college and professional sports don't.

Forced "redistribution" of the revenue from men's college and professional sports to women's college and professional sports is not "equal opportunity," it is the "equal results" you hypocritically claim to oppose.

I care about women’s sports about as much as I care about a strangers bratty child - not my problem so I act as though they don’t exist.

Until all of these women sew on a penis and join in men’s sports, they have no standing.

To a true athlete a win over a weaker opponent is not a win to be proud of. It is not a competition they would seek.

Where do you get the idea that I support forced redistribution. Didn't I say that forcing "the idea that equal opportunity = equal results" is an abuse? You must have read that, since you quoted bits and pieces in your reply.

Of course they should have to earn the money coming in, but my point was they should have that opportunity. If they can't draw the fans, then of course they should go the way of men's sports that couldn't draw fans.

Another example of the liberal denial of reality.
Below will be the solution in the coming Biden Age.

1. Transwomen sports will be heavily subsidized to keep it afloat. (I say “transwomen sports” because there will be very few actual females in it!)

2. It will be given TV broadcast time at the expense of other TV sports & other TV programming.

3. Once the forced broadcasting starts there will an endless series of complaints that no one watches it. There will be calls to somehow make it required.

Ain't it sweet? The alphabet soupers want everyone to “submit that all youth deserve an equal opportunity to participate in sports alongside their peers" unless of course they are girls that were born girls who of course don't deserve the opportunity to participate and compete against natural born girls with the same chromosomes.

All of these 'transgender' athletes are just a bunch of loser male pussies that can't compete successfully against other males so they 'compete' against girls and women who lack the same genetic strengths inherent in males.

Why is it that I have never heard of a natural born female transgender competing against natural born males? It's always the chickenshit males competing against females.

So where does the money come from for Title IX “women’s sports?”

It will be subsidized with tax dollars to keep it going. They’re not going to admit they’re wrong as long as they can reach into your pockets via politicians to maintain the fantasy.

In the 70’s, when Billie Jean was...fresher..., Roscoe Tanner’s left handed serve was clocked at 153 mph. I would like to see her return it.
