Here at Delish, we aren't shy about our love for pickles. We'll put them in pretty much anything from hummus to mozzarella sticks to nachos. Sometimes, though, you want to go back to your roots and eat them straight out of the jar, and in such a case, Walmart has the perfect jar to store them in.

That is a clever idea. I just wonder how well both lids seal and for how long. I wouldn’t pay the advertised price but would pick one up for $4.99 when they end up at the outlet stores in a year.
I’ve been having pretty good success re-using spaghetti sauce jars and lids.
They reseal nicely and it’s satisfying to hear that ‘ping’ When it starts to cool and the outside air pressure pushes the lid down.
What is wrong using the jar they come in?
My wife and I put up probably in the neighborhood of 150-200 quarts/pints a year. Never found the need for some flip top container to store what was not consumed from jar. Just put the original jar into refrigerator.
They look amazingly like the old canning jars I inherited from my grandmother.....

I go rummaging around the second hand stores and see them all the time.
Yes they do....that design preceeded the two piece screw top IIRC. I know the German/Euro beer bottles were returnables well into the 60s.
It’s more fun “emptying” the Grolsch ones then prepping them for use...just sayin.

They are called, variously, clamp lid jar, clamp jar, clasp lid jar, jar with metal clasp, clip top jars, and Kliner jars (a brand name).
Okay, I figure it’s not some kind of hourglass timer. What’s it do?
No wonder I had problems searching.
On one side you keep the pickles marinated and on the other you have ready to pick up and eat without trying to fish it out.
