Thought this was about the style of cap what we called floppenstopper from the German beer bottles.

Have a few of these with wide mouth, perfect for pickle fishing...

Apparently there's no common name for that style of compression lid

They are called, variously, clamp lid jar, clamp jar, clasp lid jar, jar with metal clasp, clip top jars, and Kliner jars (a brand name).
