After watching so many DAMN commercials with people leaving packages on door steps then walking away while those inside stand there and watch..makes me think of how LEPERS were treated.
This observation came home to me this past weekend when my GF and I dropped food off at her sister's house. Her and husband have both battled CV19 and won.
We were putting packages of food on the porch and my GF said that we shouldn't be near the door if they come out!! I was like "THEY AREN'T LEPERS!! Enough of this crap!"
We have become a people that fear something that is winnable. BUT I will NEVER do that!!! NEVER

Funny you say that — that’s been EXACTLY my impression lately. I walk down the sidewalk or on a local trail without a facemask and people see me coming. They stop, move way off the trail, move out into the street, put their heads down and tighten their masks, look away. In the past three days exactly ONE person had a nice smile and said “Hi.”
It is beyond bizarre. These kooks think the very atmosphere is poisoned with COVID poison gas all around us 24x7 no matter where you go.
It is indeed like shunning of dirty lepers.

They fought it and won? Then they are immune and no longer contagious. That is how it has always been with all other diseases. Oh yeah, I forgot. This COVID thing is not subject to the same immunological rules as all other diseases in human history.
I purposely get closer to them....sometimes I verbally mock them....they are genuinely frightened of me....I feel like I’m in a movie....kinda fun, actually!....if you don’t wanna join them, beat them!
There are a lot of stupid, fearful Americans in this country. Perfect for sheep that are being led to their slaughter.
They leave bags of groceries by their door, ring the doorbell and LEAVE. They might wave from their cars as they drive away. Total madness.
So many people have allowed fear to control them.

I don’t know if they were trolls or actually well-meaning but we had our share of fear and panic mongers posting. I said back then that they wouldn’t be coming back to apologize. They just change their tune and say that’s what they have been singing the whole time.
Totally agree. I make deliveries for a local restaurant and most of the customers specify to “leave at the door”, “leave on the front doormat”, “leave on the table beside the door”, etc. It has been like this since March. My first and lasting impression was that it IS like delivering to a leper colony. Not all of them are like that thankfully but most of them are.
Lol...depending on my mood, I do the same. I won’t move to the right of the walk or trail — I move toward the center. It’s especially fun when there is a big bunch of them and they flee in terror to the street. Zero commom sense! What is riskier? Passing somebody on the sidewalk for a tenth of a second? Or walking in the street with cars going by? The stupidity of these morons is astonishing!

One guy recently turned away from me under building scaffolding....he almost went into a standing fetal position....I stood over him for a few seconds browbeating him.....I’m no tough guy, physically, but my moral courage has become SUPERHUMAN! LOL
