(Vanity) 100% of my gifts being delivered by the USPS are late. And they lie. (Vanity)

100% of my gifts being delivered by the USPS are late. 100% of my gifts being delivered by FedEx and UPS have arrived on time.

The tracking info for the USPS also has a big lie. They say that they could not reach my front door because my driveway was not clear of snow. That was on Saturday, and my driveway was cleared hours after last week's storm.

Everyday I see UPS and FedEx drivers hustle through my neighborhood. They are working their butts off. They are also seem happy, at least the guy who just dropped off a package. I heard his truck and I rushed to the front door to greet him since he usually drops the package and rings the door bell. I had a gift waiting for him as I really appreciate his effort. I put the gift together Saturday after seeing him hustle so much. He was taking short cuts through the snow to get to front doors. I thought to myself at the time that his feet must be getting cold if he was doing that all day. He could have taken his time and run up people's driveways, but apparently that wasn't his plan.

It's bad enough the USPS is over priced and delivers late, but they aided in stealing the election. They are just another government entity that needs to be abolished.

OK....I disagree. I am in NO WAY affiliated with usps, but for the money I think they do a good job. It’s the current situation we’re all in that has usps in a bind. They need workers...

My wife has been fuming about it for a few weeks.

They can backdate ballots but cannot deliver our mail on time.

They need better workers. Like UPS, they’re unionized and don’t care.

Anything sent USPS was late or lost this year at my house. I figured they weren’t prepared because in November they were too busy working to steal an election instead of gearing up for the holiday season. This failure is from people higher up.

They are actually incompetent and careless.

USPS is delivering the bulk of Amazon packages at least in our area.

Everyone is ordering online leading to a busy season for USPS

USPS is amazing compared to FedEx. FedEx is always late and they don’t follow my delivery instructions.

We were told by a postal employee they have horrible staffing problems because people call in and say they were “exposed” to someone who tested positive for the “Black Plague” and have to “self quarantine” (yeah right). I think they then get paid time off for claiming they are staying home.

Yes. My wife has switched nearly entirely to on-line, and from her experiences, when she sees an order with a USPS tracking number, I always hear an “oh damn.”

Here is part of the problem (sorry for the Washington Compost link):

https://www.washingtonpost.com/business/2020/12/15/postal-service-holiday-packages-delays/

“As Americans increasingly shop online because of the coronavirus pandemic, private express carriers FedEx and UPS have cut off new deliveries for some retailers, sending massive volumes of packages ordered past deadlines to the Postal Service.”

I’ve got two USPS packages that went AWOL in their tracking system. Weeks after they were shipped they still show as “in transit”. I’ve read articles where the USPS package distribution centers have basically seized up due to too many package arriving and a lack of workers.

These stories about USPS delays show up nationwide.

Stamp “Democrat ballots” on the sides of all of your parcels.

True.

They have been working overtime since April.

My son switched from Chef to Mailman
just in time.

Our main USPS carrier back in California was great for over 20 years. Always got the mail delivered to the correct mail slot. Always took the time to cross the street and place USPS packages on our breezeway behind a small sidewall, out of sight from the street and nosy neighbors and school kids walking the area.

Since moving to Central Texas a little over two years ago, we've lost a package from an eBay purchase, several of the only magazine my wife has a subscription for, and numerous mail that was delivered to the wrong addresses (we get mail for others; they get mail for us).

So Mastercard said they mailed my bills on time and I haven’t been receiving them. They aren’t coming late, they aren’t coming period. I canceled my card, fought them & won back associated late fees, and I got them to write a letter restoring my FICO to 817. F them, F the postal service, and F credit cards. I keep a Chase for convenience, but that’s it. Cash as I go, is my motto.

How is it that the private sector gets the job done? I've never seen a mailman hustle in my life. There is no reason for the government to be involved in delivering mail in the 21st century. Per the US Constitution, "To establish Post Offices and post Roads;" Nothing prohibits Congress from farming that out to the private sector. The USPS is mismanaged. Their employees are lazy and overpaid.

It seems that UPS and FedEx are finding the people do deliver packages, and they do it at a profit, whereas the USPS loses billions.
