For those who are looking to get away from the cares of the World, you will find these cabins and houses very alluring. They all give you the feeling they would be a great place to get away from the crazy cities, and even from some small towns where too many people know too much about everyones business. Some just homes nestled a perfect out of the way place, some are elaborate cabins, and some are no bigger than a one room cabin. There is one or two old run down shacks no one lives in any more. But who knows.
Pictures can be deceiving however. I'm sure what looks like seclusion to us, could just be the angle the pictures was taken from. Anyway, if your looking to get away, or just want the feeling of getting away, these images should give you a good feeling that someone has gotten away, even if it's just for a weekend.
I also added in the house my wife and I owned when we lived in California before we moved to Idaho. It was after the fire that destroyed paradise. The house is still there, even if we left. Let me know if you can spot it. It's located outside of Chico CA in the Country. A few clues, we had some Redwoods in the yard and a creek I used to fly fish in about 20 yards from our front porch
Just WOW, kewl pics, thanks.
Much fun. Thx!
Have you ever looked at this website..
https://www.survivalrealty.com/
It’s a site that has all types of off grid, shtf homes, ranches, etc....
The prices range from millions to something more reasonable....
Occasionally you see some pretty outrageous stuff on there...
I have been scouting out homes/cabins in West Virginia.
Figure 6-8 months and I am done here.
That' a real purdy cabin you got there...
I love this kind of stuff.
Wow, they are in their own country. Must be fun in winter-—you’d be locked in for the duration I guess. Must be a real blast for the mailman to get your stuff to you, too. What if you had a medical or veterinary emergency? I guess all those homes are bear, wolf, puma, and coyote proof, too, right?
Nice!
We are the last farm on the right on a dead end road. Our closest neighbor is 1/2 mile away. You cannot see our house from the road.
My uber liberal niece who grew up and lives in the DC outerbelt is terrified of our house. She has someone walk her out to her car at night to get her luggage. She has watched too many slasher films. The Hills has eyes movies type of movies.
I told her she has a way better chance of being raped or murered in her DC apartment complex.
Beautiful home.
Awesome
In 2013, after we sold my mother’s house in inner city St Louis, we used the proceeds to purchase 3 acres on a federally protected river in southern Missouri.
Then we bought an all steel home home kit (a compact 3 bdr, 2 bath) and had it built there. There is nearly 400’ of river frontage and no cell phone service.
The family loves it and they go there to decompress.
Good work!
Great sign!!
Did you design it yourself??
I have been scouting out homes/cabins in West Virginia.>>> i like the free gas. and it’s beautiful.
Bkmk cabin
No. Tried many signs, none worked until this one.
Found on web - wealthy gun collector, which I am not, had 2 or 3 thefts as his signs too were ignored. He devised this one & thefts stopped. It is very effective.
It is Also true - we have our own gun range & shoot any time, & I also practice shooting from our front deck.
