It’s just the flu, bro.

All of the above are fear porn about the new Coronavirus variant.
I don’t care how many variants there are. This is a virus that attacks those with weakened immune systems. Each person is responsible for their own immune system. There is NO shared responsibility among all American citizens to protect those with weak immune systems. This is NOT an existential threat to the nation like a war. If your immune system sucks then maybe you need to do what you can to protect yourself...I will not throw away the freedom and liberty that the founders of our nation fought for in order to slightly reduce the chance that your grandmother dies this year.
...at least the woman has the foresight to turn the mask inside-out so the dog sh*t is on the opposite side from her mouth and nose when she reapplies the mask to her face...OMG!!!
Hey Kozak!
Things are looking up in the fear-porn world!
“70 percent more transmissible — a number that is based on modeling, but not yet confirmed in lab experiments.”
Not yet conformed in lab experiments.
But, Kozed will be posting the “predicted deaths” shortly after XPMass.
Jingle bells, bishes.
And disposal, of masks...if it’s so bad there should be waste stations all over.
GFY
Nobody wants to hear your panicky ass woman-like screeching.
This is the part of the movie where Clark Gable would smack you across the mouth.
#HystericalFgt
perhaps i should have asked is it worthy of the panic.
thanks
t
SCORE!!!!!
How you do dat, Cletus? How you make the fat bot talk?
Pretty much, yes. Although CDC has a narrower definition they use specifically for “flu pandemic” to denote a significantly new variant that’s rapidly spreading around the world: https://www.cdc.gov/flu/resource-center/freeresources/graphics/seasonal-vs-pandemic-flu-infographic.htm
But yes, by the basic definition, Influenza virus is a pandemic each year as it’s highly prevalent over a wide geographical area.
Oh yeah, very different question in that case. And no, the sheer panic and fearmongering around the whole thing is completely unwarranted.
We know exactly what it is and how it spreads. We know what the major risk factors are for complications requiring medical intervention. We know some effective treatments that improve patient outcomes. We know how many it kills and it’s not a ton (~0.65%). We have at least two safe and effective vaccines for it, so its spread will be halted soon and it’ll be eradicated from the US within a few months.
Definitely not a “sky is falling” situation by any means. Worth being taken seriously and with a deliberate and well-considered response, but not worth panic and fear. Sadly, deliberate and well-considered responses are nowhere to be had pretty much anywhere. Sweden started out with a largely okay approach, but they’re falling off the rails.
That sounds like a potential issue with respect to government overreach.
My concern is far more governmental than health related.
It reminds me of my old job where everything was a priority, and thus nothing was.
I suspect that’s why they carve out a special definition for “flu pandemic”. I think it might be wiser to use different terms in general since the word “pandemic” tends to breed panic when -in fact- anything from a disease that causes itchy ears to a disease that causes your butt to fall off could be classified as a pandemic. So when we talk about a “flu pandemic”, CDC is calling things like the Hong Kong flu or the Spanish flu a “flu pandemic”, but not your usual seasonal flu.
Thanks, Prestone.
Good dog. Do some more.
When you wrote this, what exactly did you mean?
You're not retarded, are you Prescott?
Do some more, this is fun. Are you enjoying sifting through the smart people's posts? Maybe you will learn something through osmosis.
Maybe for 'Tips, but not for GenPop.
What do you mean about someone stealing kidneys??
