Looking for food recommendations and recipes to help. Any recommendations for pain, etc. Just diagnosed. More tests to follow from a specialist (when I can get in).
I’m really sorry to hear this, and I hope you’re feeling better now.
Don’t be surprised if you’re prescribed a steroid, like Prednisone. It’s quite common to reduce the inflammation.
Blood in stools is scary, it usually comes when there’s inflammation near the end of the GI tract. Another thing to watch for is black stools as well, which indicates problems higher in the GI tract.
I hope that you’re feeling better, and you want to see if you can find a good gastroenterologist. Hopefully someone might be able to make suggestions at a local Crohns and Colitis meeting.
