At least 4,500 restaurants in New York City have permanently closed their doors in the wake of COVID-19 lockdowns. Thanks to Governor Andrew Cuomo’s latest dictate, that number looks sure to surge.
Amid rising COVID-19 cases, the Democrat ordered an end to all indoor dining in New York City starting on Monday. NYC Mayor Bill de Blasio has fully supported this mandate.
Cuomo’s decision to follow through on his threat to shut down restaurants has received enormous backlash, in part because its very basis is undercut by the governor’s own data. Restaurants and bars have driven only 1.4% of New York’s COVID-19 cases, according to the state’s contact tracing program. Meanwhile, private personal gatherings have driven nearly 75% of the state’s COVID-19 spread.
So Cuomo is shutting down an industry—crushing small businesses and putting service workers out of a job—that is only making a minuscule contribution to the spread of COVID-19. (After all, restaurants have operated at reduced capacity, required mask-wearing, heightened sanitization protocols, and more.)
Understandably, restaurateurs were infuriated by the governor’s arbitrary and baseless order.
“We’ve been following everything that they gave us — the guidelines, we changed our air filter systems, we do the protocols of taking temperatures, getting people to sign the [contact tracing] papers, everything from A to Z,” one restaurant owner told the New York Post. “It’s just not right you have small businesses that are day to day surviving, and day to day they’re trying to pay the bills and day to day trying to feed their staff who are trying to feed their kids.
“The government is shutting us down without actually justifying it with hardcore facts,” another restaurateur added. “We didn’t do anything to deserve a complete destruction of our business.”

Just a thought, maybe he is getting back at his old cooking guru girlfriend Sandra Lee? Maybe he hates chefs. Although he did beg all the rich people in the City to move back...that he’d even cook for them if they’d move back and pay taxes there again.

No need to report unless it’s to announce that Cuomo has been offed by New York citizens. Anything less will not do.
Except most restaurant workers (waiters,dishwashers,cleaners etc) are not Trump supporters. And there are car more of them than restaurant owners.Cuomo is crippling his own voter base.
On the contrary, it is doing PRECISELY what Cuomo and the left intend.
It's moving people from the small business class to the welfare class.

If you look at this entire sequence of events at a higher level than just the individual blue states that are implementing lockdown orders, it makes perfect sense.
- What was Trump’s greatest strength coming into 2020, i.e., the reason his reelection was all but a lock prior to the plandemic? The economy.
- The Wuhan/Kung Flu/COVID 19/Cov-2 virus is a bio-engineered virus, developed at China’s only BSL-4 lab with the help of US actors, at least $3.5M of US taxpayer money and released at a time that would impact both the economy and the election. The fact that its release was planned and intentional cannot be argued. (In any other context, this would be considered an act of war.)
- The underpinning of the US economy - whether Bezos, Gates, et al, recognize it - is our small businesses.
- Lockdowns have had, and are having, a devastating effect on small businesses, while large businesses (which contribute significantly to Democrat politicians) are thriving, has a horrendous effect on the underpinnings of our economy.
- Draconian and useless measures like social distancing and masks, the latter, according to multiple peer-reviewed studies, determined to be essentially useless in preventing the spread of a virus, along with the switch in focus from deaths to “cases,” have been used to perpetuate the pandemic (What happened to CDC’s flu surveillance program?)and create a supposed need for widespread mail-in voting to “protect the public.”
- Widespread mail-in voting and every manner of election fraud of biblical proportions have created the appearance of - for now - a Biden victory.
Purpose served, but we shall see.

Except the relief package run out long ago, and Pelosi killed every attempt to pass a new coronavirus relief bill before the elections to try and hurt Trump.
