R.I.P
The claim is that he died from Covid-19, but he was in a high-risk group at age 86.

RIP. May he Kiss An Angel Good Morning.
“Complications” from COVID at age 86? What does that even mean at this point?
To: PallMal
I didn’t realize he was quite that old.

Well, I guess that means that he can really kiss his angel good morning.

Charlie is the one that turned me on to Country music when I was going to a small college in a small Ozark town in the late 60’s. The only radio station we could pick up in the day was the local AM country station.
Thank you Charlie for many great memories.

One of the greatest men ever. As a teenager I met him. He would train with the major league baseball teams in March. I met him touring with both the Brewers and Angels. He was a very, kind, generous, loyal, and faithful man. He was the ultimate pioneer in country music.
God rest him and reward him. What a life well lived.

Charlie has passed. My youth has died, too. Many great evenings listening to the heart and soul of country. God rest you, Charlie.

So sad. Charley Pride, one of my favorite all time recording artists.
To: PallMal
After hearing him on the radio, I remember the first time my Grandfather saw him on TV. The look on his face was priceless.
It was a different time, but he sure broke barriers and one I can vouch for.
