In a Thursday interview with Spanish newspaper El Pais, Dr. Ian Lipkin, director of the Center for Infection and Immunity at Columbia’s Mailman School of Public Health, said that the novel coronavirus may never go away.
Lipkin said that it is likely future generations will be vaccinated against COVID-19, but noted that additional booster doses may be necessary. The expert described the progress in vaccine development as “staggering,” suggesting that vaccines developed by Moderna and Pfizer will be able to significantly reduce the spread of the virus.

I agree the virus is not going away. As for “normal” that depends on how willing we are to hold elected and non elected officials to the limits of their office and to oppose challenges to those limits as required.

Perhaps EVERYONE on this forum knew you only said it in jest, but that will not stop some DUmmie from making allegations about how ignorant folks at FR are for thinking this college was connected to the postal service.
I and many others come here for accurate information. It is a group effort. My posting that information was helpful to anyone who might be interested AND harmful to no one, EXCEPT the ONE person with the fragile ego who takes it personally. (That would be you.)

Yeah, that’s true about the AZ-Oxford vaccine, and it isn’t an mRNA vaccine, but it doesn’t solve the issue of that vaccine being developed with extremely heavy involvement of aborted baby cell lines (HEK293).

there is an individual on these threads claiming that citing the cold in your example as the cause of death is entirely proper, as it ‘contributes’ to the demise, and the 51,000 or so heart attack deaths listed as covid are correctly reported, as they are ‘precipitated’ by the virus...
in other words, he claims that they would be alive today minus the virus, echoing an acquaintance of mine whose uncle died at the age of 85 but who would, she swears, not have died but for covid...

I can see that argument in some cases. However, if a person dies of an heart attack while shoveling heavy snow, does the death certificate say died of snow shoveling or heart attack? Wouldn’t the same apply with covid? Covid might have contributed but so did the person’s diet, family history and lifestyle. I have never heard that bacon was the cause of death. A person with a back heart or massive vascular blockages will highly likely from a heart attack at some point. Even getting out of a chair.
My point is, way too many covid deaths are reported when covid is secondary to much more deadly conditions. Example, we had a local person in hospice with stage 4 cancer be reported as a covid death. Another person had covid in June and recently died, also reported as a covid death in the paper. Her family was very upset over that false report.

So, something that 99.997 of the people survive is to be feared?? The flu and common cold with those death rates were never an excuse to screw up the planet.
