I used to get those. The voice sounded foreign? They’re East Indians and it’s a total scam. The couple of times they did call me I let off a string of profanity that would have made the entire Marine Corps blush.

Haven’t heard from them in months.

Us too. Apparently, an IRS agent is coming to arrest my husband unless we go get some gift cards to pay our back taxes. When I asked him if he had my correct address to come get my husband, he hung up on me.

The scammers are now stating that they’re on a recorded call. I’ve been telling them that I responded to their calls before, and when I did, they sent me child pornography. And that when they did,I contacted Federal authorities. They couldn’t hang up fast enough! And, lo and behold, they quit calling!

Surprised you don’t get them via emails. They’ve also set things up to warn that YOUR COMPUTER IS INFECTED WITH A VIRUS- Do no Shutdown etc... All BS!
Click on your Virus software protection. These are scams. often offering your a FREE cleanup of your computer.

Our windstream internet came with a landline at no charge. We have not had a landline in about 20 years.

After a week we unplugged it. Constant interruptions from solicitors of all types.

I gave a scammer hope for about 5 minutes on the phone once.

It was fun :)

I ALWAYS call them back and play the fool. I get the IRS calls every once in a while claiming I owe them 5 or 6000 dollars. I put my hand over the phone and yell to my wife that “the IRS is on the phone and says we only owe them 6000 dollars!! I thought it was 27000” then i get back on the phone and let them blubber for a few minutes that they had the wrong file and yes, it really is 27000. God it get funny, you can keep them on the phone for an hour. the hour they spend with you is one hour less they are scamming somebody else.
