My hiking buddy is a US Marine. Recon to be specific w/ over 500 freefalls and some time on the beach in Iraq ahead of Desert Storm. Me- US Army, US Army Reserve, and US Air Force- Il. Air National Guard. I did some high speed stuff back in the day too, but here’s my point. Marines are going to be marines.
Whenever my friend introduces us, he says with a straight face (as he points to me) “He was in the Army and I was in the military.”
