The deep state wants the "old boss" back.
Says WHO? (get it?)
The Who in their heyday. Saw them once in concert. Incredible.
I would disagree. By 1978, the Who were done. Pete was largely uninterested in the band by then, and Moon was an overweight/ill mess and was a shell of his former greatness.
The Who's heyday?:
The first band and the first song played at the concert for 9/11 if I remember correctly.
We wont get fooled again.
Oh yes we will.
Was that song about a particular country?
I would like to put a little BOOM BOOM OUT GOES THE LIGHTS on these cheaters.
Appropriate for this week!

They weren’t the first, but by God they were the best. It gave me goosebumps when I saw it live, and still does so two decades later. You will have to stomach the introduction by John Cusack, who is a big fan of the band.

“The Who’s heyday?:
The Who - Tanglewood - 07-07-70”
Yep, shame the video and audio technology wasn’t a bit better back then let alone a couple more cameras. (Concert Promoter Bill Graham was cheap I guess) No idea why Pete switched from SG to Les Paul Guitars. I’m thinking he made the switch successfully in the Studio (Who’s Next / Quadrophenia) but his live LP sound I never cared for. Of course most of the time he was playing the Les Paul he was an alcoholic mess.
During the “FIRST” Failwell tour in 82 Pete IMO was on top of his game playing a Schecter Tele knock off. The Who’s sound hadn’t been augmented yet by a second Guitarist like it is now so he had to carry shows with John. He didn’t disappoint IMO.
his live LP sound >sShould be Live Concert sound
According to Pete himself, he switched away from Gibsons because they couldn’t handle the rough treatment he gave them.
What a great band. Sad I never saw them, I had a chance and did not make it to Cincinnati, all them kids got killed there but what a great band.
Rock on

Uhhh he played Gibsons from about 1968 to 1980. His rough Guitar disruction days were over long before that. I don’t doubt Pete said that, but he is is one of the most contradictory Musicians ever to pick up an instrument.
