How many have died and how many $Trillions have we spent to defeat exactly what we've become?
Those of us who are old enough to have actually been taught history in school can tell you about the dangers of socialism in its various forms - Bolshevism, Nazism, Maoism, etc. And yet we now have over 50% of our populace freely voting for those same principles.
We've ridiculed sham elections in Russia and Venezuela for the pre-ordained outcomes but now we have state officials at the highest levels openly cheating to affect the results here.
We are entering a period of darkness in the US, from which I'm not sure we recover. The Left has used COVID to close down our schools, our churches, and our family gatherings. We have anarchists ruling the streets of once great cities with no consequence. We've legalized heroin and cocaine in the state of Oregon.
It is an old and perhaps anachronistic view of the US but I believe we were founded with a manifest destiny - to be a shining example of what can be accomplished with hard work, freedom, and belief in God-given rights. Now we daren't mention God, hard work is laughed at, and our laws are meaningless when not enforced.
The shortest verse in the Bible is "Jesus wept". I cannot presume to know what God feels about us today but we've certainly squandered a great gift.
I am sad that my grandchildren now live in a country where cheating at the highest level is not only acceptable but encouraged in country that is ruled not by reasoned discussion but who can garner the most re-tweets of some inane ranting. I fear we are in for a wilderness period with a citizenry who doesn't have the skills or initiative for positive change.
I told my wife that there would be riots if Trump won because we've groomed at least two generations of people who haven't learned how to lose (or win with dignity and grace). So, being spoiled, they act out in a frustration they should have been taught to handle with appropriate responses.
This isn't about a Trump win or loss, it is about the fundamental breakdown of what made American great. If election laws have no weight, if there are no penalties for law-breaking, if God is forced out of our society then what are we to do? Why should any law be obeyed? Taxes - I don't feel like it. Speed limits - tear up that ticket, I was in hurry. Let's not even begin the abortion discussion (although on a lighter note, the other day at the grocery store I forgot my mask and a middle aged granola cruncher started on me. My response - "I thought you lived by the motto, my body my choice". She said well that doesn't affect anyone else and I said "Except at the end there is a dead child who didn't get a say. You can walk away from me, they can't).
These are sad days and I'm struggling to be optimistic. My fervent prayer is for days of renewal to come to us. It will take work and a vision but there are many of us up for the battle.

That’s because the children have been taught that the U.S. is an evil empire that does no good. In addition, many religions are reinforcing this by saying Jesus himself would support socialism.

It does not matter what the voters want, it matters what the “ins” can steal!
The Dems and the Media have thrown literally thrown everything at Trump the past 5 years and lost.
Trump is a fighter - let’s see what he does.
All it takes is one generation to lose it all. After that it’s just the way things are.

We need to stop crying in our beer and start thinking about how we are going to fight back if, God forbid, Biden wins.
And make no mistake, Biden is just a figurehead for the Radical Left whatever anyone in his party may think. Without Trump in the Oval Office, we will have lost a major front...but not the war. The war is never over unless and until we give up. And we can never give up because we are fighting for the cause of human freedom.

I share your sentiment! Both my parents were WWII Veterans and we were raised to love and honor God, Family and Country. I am glad they do not have witness this. We cannot give up our “in it to win it attitude”. We do not know; however, what God has in store for this country but we do know how it all eventually ends. . . it is evident the demons are anxiously awaiting their demise and are looking for willing hosts, which there seems to be a lot of, to do their bidding. Jesus has already won the Victory!

Not just cheating. Massive, open cheating without even the pretense of fairness and with the expectation that the losers will just knuckle under and concede their loss—for the good of...what, exactly?
As a vet I am considering burning all my military paraphernalia. I am ashamed of my service. Stop thanking me for it. I will throw up.
This is just the Left's first real frontal assault. Not the end of the war.
I am reminded of Red Dawn. We have to start rethinking our way of fighting. Guerilla, irregular, asymmetrical warfare works wonders when you are not in power.

Subhuman scum does tend to live together in clusters, which is helpful. That means just a few surgical instances of (to quote a famous politician) “some people doing some things” could be fairly effective in terms of bang for the buck.
Yup—the law applies to everyone or it applies to no-one.
I don’t know if you have heard my Nigeria story.
I knew a professional black person whose husband had a family in Nigeria. After many years they decided to make the trip to Nigeria and hang out with the family.
First they flew into the capital:

It was a beautiful modern city—and they really enjoyed it.
However, the relatives lived far away in a relatively small town (population 50,000 or so).
So they hired a driver and got on the road.
About halfway there the vehicle was stopped by a group of armed men, who proceeded to take all of their belongings. The driver begged for his life, and the armed men decided to let them go.
When they asked the driver if the armed men were rebels of some sort he said: “No, those are government troops—but the government hasn’t paid them in weeks—so they need to steal to survive.”
Eventually they got to their destination and met the family.
The “house” was a miserable shack, but everyone in the family was friendly and upbeat. The food was outstanding, and the furniture was high quality as well. Of course, the electricity was on and off, probably on a few hours a day.
It turned out that everyone in that town hid all their wealth and made sure that the outward appearance of their home suggested poverty—so thieves would stay away—apparently a successful strategy.
This is what the third world is—and this _can_ happen here.
