Can The Senate Save The Country?
Vanity ^ | 11/04/2020 | Oshkalaboomboom

If, God forbid, Trump ends up with the election being stolen from him, can the Senate block all of the crazy ideas Progressives promised to implement if Biden won, like adding 2 more states, severely limiting the 2nd Amendment, packing the SCOTUS, etc?

It looks like the Senate will hold its majority with the GOP. That could end up being the only thing standing between us and a Totalitarian state made that way by changing the rules.

All executive orders. Senate can just stay home with a dictatorship.

What makes you think they would want to? They literally sold the farm with Obama.

Doubtful.

In the lame duck session, McTurtle will try to fill as many vacant judgeships as possible. Then it’s up to them to uphold the Constitution.

Those Who Get It Please Tell Me.

The senate...i’m just gonna assume that comment was a joke.

You Can Not Be a Conservative Male White Christian in the New World Order. You Will Be Crushed Separately.

Or fight together.

Trump must win or we must fight.

If it takes a fat middle aged guy from Staten Island to get things rolling, so be it.

But first, let’s keep praying Trump wins.

Regarding the diluge of draconian infringements Biden listed on his website he wanted enacted, if even half of what he wants becomes reality it will turn MILLIONS of Americans into felons overnight because very few would ever be stupid enough to register there newly minted “NFA items”.

On the more bleak side, the effect of such legislation, inneffectively enforced as it might be, would certainly bring the firearms industry to near collapse as no one would want to show up at public ranges any more to shoot all the stuff they had for years lawfully owned but then suddenly gets turned into an “NFA item” because hardly anyone will register there stuff.

“Hall monitors” otherwise known as local police and even maybe some ATF agents I would be willing to bet will just start hanging out in shops and ranges trolling for whoever unawares they can nab with that Beretta 92 and that 17 round unregistered magazine they’ve owned since 1989 that they failed to register.

That is just how disgusting I’m sure this will all get...and then some.

In some ways holding the Senate is more important than holding the White House. There are two key reasons for this:

1. A GOP Senate can block every presidential appointments -- notably Supreme Court justices but also cabinet appointments -- indefinitely.

2. A GOP Senate is a very effective firewall to prevent Congress from bailing out all these dysfunctional, mismanaged states. This is where these states do themselves no favors by continually sending two Democrats to represent them in the U.S. Senate. A Republican-controlled Senate owes absolutely nothing to California, New York, Illinois, New Jersey, Washington, Oregon, and almost all of New England.

No. It prevents court packing and makes it hard for the Democrats to pass anything through Congress, but it does NOTHING to save this country in some of the most important areas. Deals with China, foreign excursions that kill more of our own for the benefit of others, attacks on the right by the DOJ, etc. It’s all coming soon if people let Biden take power.

I hear what you are saying...but we have these feckless senators who don’t know how to fight.

LOL! Mitch stop anything?

This from Mitch's Chinese father-in-law

In the heart of the Great Recession, Mitch McConnell suddenly got richer. According to his 2009 financial disclosure, while other senators’ fortunes were falling, McConnell’s jumped, thanks to a multimillion-dollar gift from his father-in-law, James Chao, to him and his wife, Elaine Chao, who now serves as President Trump’s Secretary of Transportation. Federal financial disclosures list assets in wide ranges. The totals in McConnell’s disclosure jumped from a range of $3.1 million to $12.7 million in 2007 to $7.3 million to $33.1 million in 2008. The big reason for that increase: a $5 million-to-$25 million gift from the elder Chao in memory of Elaine’s mother, Ruth, who died at age 77 in 2007.

All it does is delay Dems plans for a time should Biden get in. The moment Dems have 3 branches of gov, all bets are off and given the way this country is going, it will happen eventually.

If Biden wins, why does anyone with a brain on this side not realize this was their last election?

The government will not be on your side and it will be rigged to shut you up forever. The UN will be your new master.

Why does anyone think a bunch of whoosy assed politicians are going to save anything. I have to laugh at that. Geesh.

Yes, Biden wins, it’s all over but the cryin’.

All executive orders.

As Obama learned, executive orders can be undone. 52 states, 4 more Senators and 15 Justices? Not so easy.

You cannot get more justices or States with an opposition party in control of the Senate.

We get two years of gridlock...which is fine.

Somehow I forgot to include the words “2nd amendment” in front of the word “infringement” but I suspect 99.99% of the readers here will pick that up.

If Trump loses, gridlock is the best we can hope for, and American Patriots should deploy every trick in the book to make it happen. Organize like crazy for 2022 and 2024. If we lose 2024, time for a plan B.
