School officials in Florida have fired a high school principal again over comments he made regarding the Holocaust

A Florida high school principal was fired again on Monday over a comment he made to a student's parent last year regarding the Holocaust.

The Palm Beach County School Board's vote on Monday morning reversed an earlier decision to reinstate Spanish River High School Principal William Latson.

On Monday, the board reversed course and voted 7-0 to fire Latson following outrage in the Jewish community, the Palm Beach Post reported.

Latson was reassigned from the Boca Raton school to a district office job because of the outcry over his email to a mother who inquired whether the school’s students study the Holocaust.

Latson, who had been at Spanish River for eight years, replied to the mother that as an educator his job was to be “politically neutral."


It is so hard to tell. We only see what the media shows us. What was the context of the letter?
But his response sure sounds damning.

He has a right to express his opinion, such as it is. And I’m sure his jackass-ery is not limited to Holocaust denial. But the school board itself, for hiring such a jack-ass, ought to be fired. But jackass-ery is nowadays a requirement for educators. They are just upset that he didn’t stick to the standard, required jackass-ery, and instead wandered off into original, even more pernicious jackass-ery than, say, the 1619 project or global warming. On top of the required jackass-ery, he also denies or is at least skeptical of the Holocaust. Originality, of course, must not be tolerated. In for a penny, in for a pound. Let jack-asses be jack-asses. But don’t entrust your children to any of them, not for five minutes. Home school. Send then to Catholic school or Yeshiva. Send them to hippy-dippy Montessori schools, even. But not to public school. Defund that, not the police.

The list of groups denying the Holocaust includes:

1. Iranian Muslims, most notably their Ayatollah.

2. Louis Farrakhan's Nation of Islam.

3. Neo-Nazis (the original Nazis are all dead now).

4. A few "scholars" who hope to make money selling books which point out "errors" or "inconsistencies" in historical records & eye-witness testimonies.
   Some of these claim they're not "deniers", just "revisionists" hoping to "correct" the record and "debunk" certain "myths".

My guess is that William Latson is influenced by members of groups one & two.

1, It could be his anti-h view, or 2, Someone could have pressed it on him, in which case perhaps he might be persuaded to say who. The one anti-holo assertion most credible, I find is easily refuted: the stats for Jewish population before contrasted with after the naziera, being about the same. But Htl called J those with very distant J relations, or the “wrong” nose shape or skull proportions. Also, someone told me that non practicing were turning in those practicing for their own reasons. And some who escaped the cull started calling themselves J in protest.
