You and your family have my prayers and condolences. It is very moving that you and your brother-in-law were close and that you decided to share your loss. As for Covid, get a rapid test. My son was exposed at college last week and we brought him home and had him tested. All is good.

I guess watching my grandmother suffer for years from MS has made me see that sometimes the passing is more of a blessing for the afflicted than my loss of my grandmother that I loved. Until you experience seeing a loved one suffer greatly you won't understand my reasoning. In fact I hope you never have to understand my reasoning. My you be so blessed to never really understand what I have understood about death of a loved one for whom the suffering is unbearable to watch. She was basically a person with a fully functioning brain who was totally incapable of doing anything for herself, and you could see in her eyes the real pain she was living, if one can call it living.

Thank the lord for the little things. He died at home, I’m sure with his daily near. A man can can be proud that his family is together and near when he is called back to the lord. I’m sorry for your loss and thankful Doro can watch over his family from heaven.

One might as well ask why innocent children who have not yet lived their lives die, or why any of us have to die at all. And I have not been able to find an answer better than what Christianity offers: we are all eternal souls who are here for reasons and purposes that we little know or comprehend, and that we pass from this life and its cares when those purposes are accomplished.
