My beloved brother-in-law died today and I don't know how to express my sympathies to the family in this Covid crisis.
I had lunch with several fellow retirees earlier in the week and one of which was just tested positive for the Covid.
I want to go to my sister's house to offer comfort but I don't know if that is the safe thing to do..........This is just terrible

Doro has spent the most of these past seven months in the hospital battling cancer, colon surgery and latest being brain surgery. He no sooner came home when he went into cartiac arrest and his daughter and son, who are both physicians, were able to revive him and sent him back to the hospital.
Unfortunately, his organs started shutting down and they decided to bring him home yesterday and help with hospice care. As expected, he died today..............

Well just express sorrow to your sister, and say that he is in a better place now and no longer suffering from his battle with cancer. Also tell her you are there for her to help in any way that you can.

I am sorry for your loss.
If you have been exposed, the wise thing to do is get tested before going over. I know it sucks, but getting others sick when they are weakened is not a good plan.

Losing people is hard.
Maybe send some food. People grieving often don’t eat much and certainly don’t want to prepare it.

Hey I’m truly sorry.
Brings tears to one’s eyes just reading it.
The pain is over. He is at peace.
I am no virus nut, to say the least, but if you were just around someone who tested positive..maybe wait a little while is my best guess.
I will pray for all involved and again, I am truly sorry.
The good times were real. I found that thinking of them after a loved one’s death helped more than it hurt.
