I went to vote early in Minnesota. The workers said the machines are down, it would be a few hours wait, and that our votes would be stored in envelopes.
Your thoughts?
I agree!!
Don’t cast your vote yet—go away and come back when the machines are working.
Election Day is Tuesday. Go then.
If it’s set up so you can vote at any polling place in your county, find a place that has working voting machines and vote there.
If not, then go on election day.
So what did you do ?
I hope not hand your vote to a stranger !
Dry run for election day?
Watch for machines to be down across the country to allow irregularities and to make wait times longer so people leave without voting.
Where did you vote?
I voted a week ago at City Hall in my suburb just west of Minneapolistan. You are technically voting absentee. you fill out the form, go to the next window for a ballot, fill it out and and put it into a sealed envelope that has your name on it. Then bring it to the election judge who puts it into another sealed envelope. It will be opened on election day.
I saw nothing wrong with it and my location is not some liberal schiffhole.
Yep.
This isn’t normal, Nermal.
No way in hell!!!
Is it Republican territory
I saw nothing wrong with it and my location is not some liberal schiffhole.
As you know, in many cases, boxes from conservative precincts often disappear.
Yes, for this crazy election year there is justifiable concern imo.
WOW!
DuckDuckGo returned several links for reporting voting problems on the following arbitrary search phrase.
"number to call to report suspicious voting problems"
Send "Orange Man Bad" federal and state government desperate Democrats home in November!
Supporting PDJT with a new patriot Congress and state government leaders that will promise to fully support his already excellent work for MAGA and stopping SARS-CoV-2 will effectively give fast-working Trump a "third term" in office imo.
I dont see any problem with voting Republican ticket for 2020 elections.
Insights welcome.
MN Fraud. The scumbag state.
Mr Ellison will personally open your envelope, laugh and thrown it in the trash. Then he will take a photo, share it with his friends and laugh some more.
Just go back when the machines are up and advise all Trump supporters in your circle to do the same.
I like Texas early voting much better. I vote and scan in my own ballot and wait for confirmation that it has been recorded. I don't have to trust that my vote will be opened on election day.
I typically go in person on election day but my wife has Stage 4 cancer and she didn’t want to stand in line for a long time Tuesday so we went to City Hall and did it in a few minutes.
Y'STILL always have November 3rd.
“Someone here - anyone who can help - this is FRAUD.”
Fraud may not be the correct word. It would be almost impossible to determine fraud and blame anyone in particular.
What you have is an appearance to conflict of interest. An appearance of a conflict exists when an employee pole worker, in this case, is involved in a particular matter involving specific outside parties and the circumstances are such that a reasonable person with knowledge of the relevant facts would question the employee’s impartiality in the matter. There are poll sitters from each party at each one of the polls. They’re in the loop along with any of the workers just by being there.
But, there doesn’t appear to be anyone to blame, or they are not named. They should close down those polls for the entire election as by repairing them they can now be changed possible even from previous use. (Again, another opportunity for conflict of interest) Like other types of illegal or unethical activities, conflict of interest activities carry the risk of consequences. Federal and state laws have been set up to criminalize conflicts of interest in the public sector, and in certain circumstances, conflict of interest can result in prosecution.
What is further of interest is that fourteen states require paper ballots. Typically states with this requirement use optical scan voting machines for tabulation and also provide ballot marking devices for voters with disabilities (required by HAVA).
https://www.ncsl.org/research/elections-and-campaigns/voting-system-paper-trail-requirements.aspx
Minnesota is one of those, but only for disabled. So there is almost no paper trail available if the machines are changed. Like I said, they need to be shut down till the next election.

I could accept one machine being down, but ALL of the ballot readers? No, that isn’t credible. Even if the network is down, the ballot readers are stand alone and should be able to read ballots and retain the votes for later transmission.
Something is rotten in the state of Minnesota.
