CONCORD, N.H. Customers of New Hampshire restaurants will soon be asked to provide basic contact information to help facilitate COVID-19 contact tracing investigations.
Gov. Chris Sununu said the requirement will begin Saturday. Customers will be asked for their name and phone number, and restaurants will record their time of arrival.
Sununu said the information will help contact tracing teams if it's learned that someone in the restaurant has COVID-19.

At one time stores such as K-Mart would ask for phone number and birthday at checkout. I always said I had no phone and when it came time for date of birth my response would be April 31. Not one cashier flinched.

You don’t need an ID to vote — that would be racist. But if you want to eat, you’ll have to give name, rank and serial number.

I think there was a joke on the TV show “Parks and Rec” where a city bureaucrat wanted to avoid all meetings. His secretary helpfully scheduled all of his meetings for March 31 — in the belief that March had only 30 days. Sadly, when March 31 arrived, he had a lot of people expecting a meeting.

Northern Tool always asks for a phone number. I always give them one I had 20 years ago.

If you read the article the NH Restaurant and Lodging Association suggested it. I have only dined inside a restaurant one time since I moved here in March anyway, so it wont affect my habits much. Still the best state I could find to move to. Im very happy here in northern NH

I just say “no thank you” when stores ask for a phone number (including Northern Tool) .... I get puzzled looks, but no one has followed and asked again.
