I have been (for reasons not completely understood to me) regularly reading an absolute jackass Never Trumper columnist - Allahpundit over at Hot Air. He claims to be a conservative- but always appears to be rooting for the opposition. He despises Trump & routinely posts polls, surveys, articles & anecdotes about how Trump is losing disastrously this election. I've let this idiot crawl into my head. I had this same sort of feeling 4 years ago & posted a similar thread. What do you truly feel is likely to be the outcome of this election? Not your hopes or fantasies- just reality! I definitely need a pep talk 🤣

Demonrats like to talk about how they are voting. It is safe for them to do so because Trump voters are not demonic and will not make fun of them, call them racist, or try to sabotage their career or personal property. Plus, Demonrats get praised for by other Demonrats for being virtuous and voting the correct way.

Demonrats are basically bullies.

Thus, in any given workplace where people may fall 50/50, or close to it, it may seem as if more people are voting Demonrat because the Demonrats are the only ones talking about who they are voting for.

Try realizing that there are more important things in life than politics. If politics is making you a nervous wreck, then step away. Turn off the TV. Sign off of FR. Sit in a Church somewhere and contemplate God, eternity and the inevitability of death.

Almost half eligible adults do not vote, give or take 5% depending on the election.

Many people do not care about elections. Too bad though, because that's who empires fall.

Its good to stay informed, but never allow politics to be the center of your life. Listen to music, take a walk, enjoy a nice meal, heck, watch a silly movie, whatever. Find joy in life. We can only do our part. I intend to vote on election day. But the issue with today’s world is this minute by minute reaction to data by 24/7 news channels/websites/social media. I do think it can get overwhelming and we end up losing the macro reality of things.

Finally, don’t read anything by Never Trumpers.

No one knows. Vote like our lives depend on it!

Democrats plan to give statehood to Puerto Rico and Washington D.C...and maybe a California split to afford even more Democrat electoral votes. That’s another part of the plan to permanently prevent a Republican majority in the Senate.

Then there’s the plan for ending the legislative filibuster and instituting absolute gun control including a return to pistol bans. You see, after the takeover, they’ll own the military and police forces and plan to make examples of a few people every week with pre-dawn raids for firearms confiscations in nearly every locale: a campaign of terror and control.

Four years ago in my neighborhood (northwest Las Vegas), there were no political signs...this year we have dozens of homes with signs in front along with a few flags - all Trump, zero Biden.

Don’t bet on it! THe right has been awful quite during the riots.. Even California after Rodney KIng verdict the conservatives blocked of their streets with cars and armed the barricades! I’m not sure that would happen today.. Especially after that man and wife were indicted for harassing the rioters!

I trust Trump will win but not much will change with either side winning. We will be divided as ever as a country and quickly sprinting towards a boil over point.

I simply recommend preparing.

Prepare for a contested election.

And no matter who is sworn in on January 20th, half the country will view that person as an illegitimate usurper.

This is the trend that will need to be addressed at some point in the near future.
