That bugs me.
Gross!!
The French will invent a sauce for them. Related, I won't be eating these.

Nobody likes me, everybody hates me
I think I’ll go eat worms!
Big fat juicy ones
Eensie weensy squeensy ones
See how they wiggle and squirm!
[Verse 1]
Down goes the first one, down goes the second one
Oh how they wiggle and squirm!
Up comes the first one, up comes the second one
Oh how they wiggle and squirm!
[Verse 2]
I bite off the heads, and suck out the juice
And throw the skins away!
Nobody knows how fat I grow
On worms three times a day!
[Chorus]
Nobody likes me, everybody hates me
I think I’ll go eat worms!
Big fat juicy ones
Eensie weensy squeensy ones
See how they wiggle and squirm!

Something benign, inoffensive, even pleasant sounding.

Fishmeal is the strip mining equivalent of the ocean. It leaves vast swaths of barren ocean floor where the trawl nets have been dragged. This fish is then ground into fishmeal to feed other fish in cages so people can have farm raised salmon or shrimp. Using insect protein for fish food is just good science and it saves our oceans from being strip mined by the chicoms and other Asian fish farmers. Feeding the protein to chickens and pigs also cuts down on soybean farming which uses massive amounts of fertilizer and pesticides all of which run off into our water sources. Ultimately leading to the giant dead zone in the Gulf of Mexico again messing up our seafood catches. This kind of high density protein farming is win win for the environment and the consumer. They have done testing the protien is so high quality it cuts the mortality rates of the farmed fish by a significant margin which should help lower costs. These worms grow in agricultural wastes such as wheat straw or rice bran and their casings are compost ready to be put back on the fields as high quality organic fertilizer. People don’t have to eat the worms to benefit. Feeding them to things we like to eat is plenty good for all involved.
This is why history is so important. Without the study of history, it repeats itself and that which failed before is tried and tried again and again.
Worlds largest? I thought that was Mother Natures big out doors. Can’t get any bigger than that.
Well in my experience, they must be good. Bluebirds fight over them. To accommodate the male and the female, I had to put out two plastic trays of mealy worms
