...Dalton walked off the field late into the third quarter after taking a vicious hit from Washington linebacker Jon Bostic. He has a concussion and will be out for the rest of the game. The hit occurred on a third-down play with 6:32 left in the third quarter. Dalton scrambled up the middle on 3rd-and-10 and as he slid to the ground, Bostic lowered his helmet and hit Dalton’s helmet squarely. Dalton appeared to be knocked unconscious momentarily. Bostic was assessed with a personal foul and ejected from the game.
I have been a Dallas fan since Roger Staubach days. If Jerry does that, it just might be the straw that broke the camel's back for me! Besides, he wasn't that good when he was playing and he has been out of football for quite some time.
Fining him $500,000 and missing half a season(8 games) AND a warning that a similar hit would result in a minimum of a FULL season ban will do more to curb that type of cheap shot.
If he was kicked out of the league, it would be forgotten quickly.
I am an Eagles fan and am stunned at what is going on in Dallas. Is it Jerry Jones? The NFL is better with a competitive team in Dallas.
They did not do anything before the hit either.
The Cowboys only managed three points. I hope Dalton is okay. But c’mon.... losing Dalton for the game shouldn’t be like losing Joe Montana. Whom do the Cowboys have behind Dalton?

Well they were already getting completely demolished. But yeah. Sucks for Dalton. One of those players that makes me wonder, how many great players do we not know about because they spent their career on bad teams. When given a shot he shows a lot of talent, but he so rarely got any shots playing for the Bengals. And then he lands on the Cowboys. Poor guy.
Back in the day a Cowboys - Redskins game was a marquis match-up. But the Redskins - WFT or whatever - have been mediocre or just plain bad for so long, and the Cowboys not far behind them, that this mish-mash was a must-miss.
They won’t win another game this year.
If they sign Fitzmagic tonight, the Cowboys will win the division.
Activate Kellen Moore...he knows the playbook for what that’s worth! Andy deserves a chance with a team that actually has some semblance of an offensive line!
